So I like this foundation. It's got some neatness.

There's something I'm missing. The Netscape is clearly where I'm meant to be going, but the boss is simply overwhelming.

* The skills give at most a 10% bonus or +1 to one thing, for what I can reach.
* Stat points go exponential in cost = diminished returns.
* I can upgrade gear, but the forge destroying on failure is a player-hostile act. There's no vendor for me to buy it from if it screws up (or for me to buy different toys from at all). After about 20% bonus I'm no longer able to reliably hit that spot - a skill check on top of paying money - and so I can't upgrade further, even if it was worth it to do so (damage 9 instead of 8 does not move the needle).

The game says "you should be level 3 to hit this dungeon". I'm level 7 at this point. The boss has 250 HP to my 120 and a global 10% resist on top. I'm screwed! I have 36 stat points and it has 90. I can not win this dps check.

Genuinely what am I missing? The only things I haven't tried - that I'm aware of - are cheating, or doing an implausible amount of grinding to raise stats until I squeak on past.

Update: after reading other comments I did a dumb thing. I reset stats and put 100% into STR. It worked. Boss dead. I... what's the point of stats if the game is explicitly balanced to require a specific build?

Gg! You know your limitations and where to improve, there's not much to add.

If you were going to make one update and then drop it forever... Yeah, the sprites and colors. I'm not colorblind (I think?) but the magenta and red are egregiously similar, the blue and teal, the green and uhh seafoam? The shape needs to get very different when they're on the same quadrant of the color wheel.

Then add a shotgun, idk. :)

Oh good lord. That's what I get for playing on a touchscreen (not to mention the scroll bars themselves are thin AF to get). Thanks for the gamer pro tip!

What in the heck do those treasure chests do?

I'm on a tablet and for the life of me I can not get it to accept any input as a right click. Please provide a "sell mode" button and/or sell zone I can drag things into.

This is a neat toy! I enjoyed playing with this toy.

My only complaint is my ability to acquire currency outstripped my ability to spend currency. I have all this nickel, I can't spend it, so why am I still playing...? That kind of thing.

Understood, and I respect that you've been considering these things a hell of a lot longer than I have.

Having now exhausted the content... deffo want that recurring action ofc. Talos wakeup sequence should after a few loops include grabbing 5/5 of all supplies, and while I see the tutorial, a few more after that should set Talos to not consume water (since pouches) or food UNTIL the coupler is pulled.

I'd also like to see buggy repair eventually upgrade to two options (solar or motor) both of which include loading the Genny on board. Maybe even a third that includes going to the nearby place to scavenge, throwing in the thing, and coming back to mount solar so you don't have to pull the coupler.

Otherwise, looking forward to the next major update as the game is fun, and to dilation because some aspects are infuriating to me... though in the end my hot take is "yeah if player X can't engage the game with these limitations, player X probably isn't going to vibe with the rest of it".

Feedback: I played through this a long while ago, sort of. I died on my first pass and stopped because I didn't get the artifact - can't remember if I ran out just before due to bad decisions, or I beelined for the facility because it seemed like the safer move. The text about "maybe you should have optimized" made me think I had just plain lost the game and there was nothing more to it. Today, playing again, there is clearly way more to it. But letting you know that players may be bouncing there if they're dumb like me and they need some kind of extra communication.

Today my vain request is that I'd like an "always do if possible" action, specifically for grabbing pouches, synthesizing food, etc in the first location. It's busy work to top off when I 100% know I'm going to have 5/5 of that resource when I set out and there's an unlimited supply. Let me set the action to perpetual interrupt.

The other ofc is a fast forward for the queue. Let me speed through some of these long ass timers (taking responsibility if I haven't managed my resources).  Dovetails real well with the perpetual interrupt!

Apologies if these features exist and I just haven't gone far enough to unlock them.

Edit: actually I'm increasingly irritated with Talos because I have it down to a science, and I've seen other sequences condensed, and I don't even want to do Talos anymore. I want to skip to the interesting/exploration parts that come next. I can believe Talos still has secrets to unlock, but until something changes, i just want to tell the game "do exactly what I did last time".

I'm on a tablet. There is no mode other than fullscreen. Trying to exit fullscreen puts me back on the play button.

Same. Once I unlocked runes I was no longer able to access the original skill tree.

Wait. How is this free? I'm supposed to pay for this level of quality. Artists should not starve.
