Fun game could use more visual style, but excellent work! especially for your first jam.

Great fit for the theme, really chaotic

Fun game overall

Yes, I totally get the time crunch! I meant that it was more intuitive to click the mouse button than to hold it, plus there was a tad delay so I was confused at first but I did figure it out. And as for the audio I had the same problem, I know you can change individual audio sources in unity, but that wasn't a big deal. These are just my suggestions so I could be completely wrong, but I did love the game!

That sure was chaotic, I nearly threw up in the boss battle hahaha. Great style and fun gameplay, and good music too.

Suggestions:

-Add an object that follows the player to keep them moving so they don't sit too long

-add a seizure warning lol

This was so fun, these types of games always addict me. Something as simple as an upgrade menu and a goal makes these games so fun. I loved the art style and the audio blended nicely.

Suggestions:

-it would be cool to track the fastest velocity you managed to get the ball to go

Great style and fun gameplay.

Suggestions:

-reduce/ smooth camera movement, it felt really loose and out of control

This was such a weird and innovative game. I loved how you have to time the movement just right to escape the falling bridge, but not go too fast to fly off the other end. My only suggestion would be to put the kill trigger higher up so you don't spend so much time falling after you fall off the map. Great game, keep up the great work!

Great game, I love the atmosphere and audio! The controls felt very nice too.

The graphics audio and theme all fit very nicely! This felt like a very polished project, my only suggestions/ issues were with the clipping environment objects. A few walls and objects like trees were causing the game to restart or glitch like crazy, but this is only a minor issue. Great Game!

The controls were a bit weird and the audio was really loud at first, but the gameplay was nice and the chaos was definitely there. Great job with the destructible environment as well!

This is such a clean and fun game, great job!

Suggestions:

-maybe tweak the movement a bit so it feels tighter, otherwise, I love this game!

This game is very well polished. The controls are great and the animations are very smooth. I love the variety of enemies and the experience is well put together. The environment is nice, and the spawn rates for everything are well balanced.

Suggestions:

-more structures and varied obstacles

-increase player speed by just a  touch, a few times I felt like I was endlessly chasing enemies

Other than that I have no other ideas, this game is great!

https://vandegriffe.itch.io/blaze-brigade This is my first game jam, I hope you get some content out of this at least!

The gameplay is super tight, the bullet travel is smooth and the enemies are well designed with their health and speed. Everything seems really balanced.

Suggestions:

-At the very beginning top left (and a few other places) I could clip through the walls. Not game-breaking, but I would fix the hitboxes in those areas because I was running through the wall.

-Tutorial/ instructions at the start to explain mechanics better. I died so quickly right off the bat for seemingly no reason until I could figure it out.

Awesome game, keep up the great work!

Ill rate yours and you can rate mine here https://vandegriffe.itch.io/blaze-brigade

Oops, I added the timer at the very end to amp up the stress, and completely forgot to reset it after each game.

This was a great game, gives me jackbox vibes for some reason. It felt like a fusion between bomb corp and a pilotredsun video. I loved the confusing chaos of sorting all the files. The audio was great and the graphics were really fun.  It was really nice that you could double-check the instructions because the introduction was great, but as soon as the game started I almost immediately forgot everything I was told lol.

Suggestions:

-Make the trash more obvious with a trash symbol because my top-secret files were piling up and I didn't instinctively know where to throw them at first

-Allow the player to click out of "file view" I kept clicking off the file to escape the zoomed-in view but that's not how it works obviously. I feel like clicking off the file is more intuitive since all other controls are click-based. The escape key works fine though.

-spice up the files with some better font/ handwriting style lettering. The style of the rest of the game is great, but the text felt out of place. The juxtaposition is funny, but you could also have some fun with weird fonts and whatnot.

This comment is really nitpicky because I wanted to give good feedback, but I did really love this game. Super fun, keep up the great work!

The animations and sprites all look really good!

Thanks, your game is awesome too, I loved the concept and the gameplay super satisfying!

This game looks amazing. The lighting, sprites, and layout are very appealing. The game play is super fun too, I like how each ball infects the others and the "healer" also tries to stop you.

Suggestions:

-some of the areas had really small spaces to squeeze back through. Maybe just finish the level as soon as all are infected so you aren't wasting time running around or trying to  retrace your steps to leave

The controls and camera were a little floaty and made for very fun and loose/ drifty play. I loved the destruction and mayhem, and running over people was fun! This was a great game.

Suggestions/ improvements:

-spawn more people and more cars for even more chaos + maybe even buildings and environments to destroy

-add a timer or bar to let us know how long before I can shoot again (and maybe reduce the time before shooting)

Love the twist on the gold game. The bouncing pads and red sticky wall made for some interesting situations and I LOVED the yellow bumper that spawned more balls. There were some very chaotic situations where the balls were flying everywhere and I love how you tied the control of each ball together.

One suggestion or fix: sometimes the ball would get stuck in the hole before I hit the yellow pad and the game would just stop without any prompt and I was confused at first. Maybe add an automatic restart, or prompt to restart because I didn't know what to do, I thought it was just frozen. If you really wanted to, you could make it so that if you only have one ball, it cant get in the hole until the other ball is already spawned. Great game! I really enjoyed it.

This game was really fun, the relentless waves of slime really got chaotic and overwhelming.

Suggestions

-Let the player continue shooting after getting hurt

-gives some feedback or visual response to hitting a slime or...

-implement a color code system for the amount of health of slime so you know how many times it has been hit

The constant movement of the ball made for a fun challenge. I also liked the destructible environment that led to hidden parts. My only gripe is that some locations were hard to get back to after respawning at a checkpoint. The destructible bridges would disappear and I couldn't jump across the spikes again, but I just went a different way and it was all good.

I like how you added a slider for visual settings, the game just about melted my laptop, but I played on my PC and it was all good. The controls and camera felt tight and the world felt full. I'm impressed that you did this all in a week!

I love the concept and this game is super fun to play. As someone else said, once you get the hang of the mechanics it's super entertaining and challenging. Reaching a checkpoint is very rewarding too. Reminds me of super meat boy how you have to keep restarting. You might want to consider adding a death count and a system that tracks previous runs. Great game!

I made it to about 40 seconds and was startled by the huge monster. Great artwork and fun game!

I'll play everyone's game in this thread (that I can) if they are down to try and rate mine!
