I literally am unable to click rooter on the socket. I can bring up the oomed view and it disappears as soon as I go to my inventory. I've tried just clicking on the hatch but get no feedback. I also don't know how to change one socket for another in rooter's head! I think I read the instructions somewhere the other day but can't find them now.

ah I worked it out... I had to stop touching and start looking... thanks!

thanks for your help, I was kind of hoping for more detail as I've been moving things around and clicking what's underneath them for about half an hour. I did manage to get the socket out of the clamp though, so that's something. 

Someone please give hints on finding the sockets. I found three on the table...

I'd like that actually, I think I'll be a better tester if I can get to the next stage of the game... I'll make a new topic in general discussion for you to reply to if you don't mind. Cheers!

from reading the other posts I know that there are actually 6 attachments we have to find, though I myself only managed to find 3!

yep something like that would be amazing, although I wouldn't be surprised (or maybe just hope) if they added such a thing before release and are tweaking it based on what beta testers are getting stuck on the most.

I found out that once you're past the steam both access panels in the red corridor are just open automatically! I'm guessing that's a bug...

thanks for this, without your rundown so far I wouldn't have gotten past the supply room! Or dared to touch the steam again....

I actually wish there was more of a tutorial of sorts, even in gameplay, of how to do certain things like use rooter. Right now I'm stuck and I'm pretty sure it's because I have no idea what sequence of button presses it's going to take to get rooter to do what I'm pretty sure I'm meant to get him to do...
