I've been looking into this using the windows build in the latest public JoiPlay build (1.20.550) and can't seem to reproduce this problem on my device.

Are you closing the game using "Menu" > "Save and Quit"? The progress isn't automatically saved so if you or your device are closing the app in any other way that could cause this kind of behaviour.

Otherwise the problem might be a permission issue or the use of some outdated app or plugin.

The lower right corner buttons (Feyfolk, Current Affairs, Settlement, Interests, Bio, Log, Colony and Lore) are all information screens. Actions are located at the upper left side of the screen (Correspondence, Territories, Projects, Forces and Stay Home),

To start exploring you'd have to select "Territories", which would show a map with different locations spread through the screen on which to click.

As the game stands right now, starting as an Outcast might be easier, as it takes you straight into a territory and gives you different choices in a manner similar to other more traditional text adventure games.

I'm very busy with my day job but give me about a week and I'll put something together to hopefully make the whole game more playable. So far I've added a options to remove all the tips and other redundant texts, replace images for text on information buttons and replacing the map for a list of territories.

Hello.

From what I could gather, the problem appears to be that the self voicing feature of RenPy seems intended for newer code and more linear games. In this case it keeps reading the tips first and foremost every time the screen refreshes.

I'll try mapping a key to prevent all unnecessary text from being displayed more than necessary and perhaps add that information in a different way for the next release.

The game was made using the Ren'Py engine.

I've been looking into this and the answer is not presently unless you edit the game files. I guess I disabled the RenPy game console at some point in the past.

I'll give this some thought because the default console could very easily ruin saves if used recklessly. Some sort of dedicated cheat menu or sandbox mode would probably be far safer, but of course also more time-consuming to implement.

Which version of JoiPlay are you using?

I actually had the same problem using the Play Store version but the latest public version from their Patreon fixed the problem for me.

Yes, lovers are randomly generated with different hidden attitudes towards raising children. Continuing to woo and interact with those characters that want children will result in them putting forth different proposals.

Once you have at least one descendant, rather than risk hiding your money and probably losing it between cycles, it passes on to the children, which will go on to become  either successful aristocrats making your life easier in the next cycle, or just plain ungrateful bums.

The next step should generally be to continue visiting other places from the "Territories" menu option, gathering a party of Renascents from them, and then retrieve and research the relic's pieces from those territories marked with the jigsaw puzzle icon as they show up.

Here's a simple guide I made some time ago that might also be of help along with the contextual in-game tips at the upper right.
