I’m excited to announce the release of PianoGen v3.0! This update brings significant improvements to the music generation algorithm and introduces more options for users to explore.
Unfortunately, I had to remove the instant playback feature, as maintaining it became challenging with the increasing complexity of the music generation process. However, I don’t believe this will impact functionality, as the tool is primarily designed to generate MIDI files for use in other applications.
I highly recommend using a DAW to play the generated MIDI files, as the default Windows MIDI player is not capable of properly handling complex piano compositions.
I apologize for the delay in releasing this update. Exciting updates are on the way! I plan to incorporate machine learning to enhance music generation in versions after 3.2. So please stay tuned. Thank you all for your continued support!

Let me highlight the improvements made since version 1.0. Firstly, the user interface underwent a significant overhaul in preparation for consumer use, especially with the refined UI introduced in version 2.1. The melody generation system was completely rebuilt to create more varied and complex compositions. Although playback functionality remained largely unchanged, minor compression issues were resolved. Additionally, a new bassline feature was added, enhancing the most suitable parts of the song with a bassline. Currently, the bassline algorithm is less sophisticated compared to the melody generation, but further improvements are planned for version 2.2.
