you're the first person that noticed this so far, and you are exactly on point. we kind of wanted the game name and tags to also be a lie, but ended up on making the tags normal because otherwise the game might be too hard to find. but the name is indeed a lie

thank you for the feedback!
while we agree that the puzzles are extremely straightforward, we wanted to focus on accessibility instead of difficulty. after watching some of our play testers, it turns out that for the majority of players this game is difficult enough. and in gamejam context, we did not want the majority of players to feel frustrated or to be stuck in some puzzle. nevertheless, thank you for the feedback, and the team absolutely agrees with your opinion.
Hello! Overall, the I really liked the game. But there are some areas for improvement. (I understand that the game is not finished, however we still have to rate the games we get)
First, I want to start with the good stuff
1. The artstyle. I loved it so much it can't be expressed with words. The artstyle is extremely good. The characters are really cool, the marbles look tasty, it all just works really well. Nevertheless, more details in the open world would be nice.
2. I really liked the marbles minigame. Its satisfying to play. And the fact that marbles placements are randomized makes the game fun. (Because you feel like you are always on different levels, which makes the game less repetitive)
Now with some areas of improvement
1. The music is too short for a proper loop. It feels repetitive really fast. But the music itself is pretty good and atmospheric. Just wish there was more.
2. If the marbles minigame is the only minigame that will be in this game, I would like to see different marbles with different abilities to make it less repetitive.
And some bugs that I encountered
1. One time when talking to the dog npc for the second time, I got an Index out of range error. Sadly I did not screenshoot it.
2. During the dialogue with the lemon, the lemon used the sprite of the main character. But, maybe that is intended, since they were talking about feeling "at ease".
Overall, the game is pretty good, even while being unfinished! I would love to see the full product in the future
Wonderful job!
Hello!
As the title says, I'm looking for some creative people. I am more of a technical person, not a really creative one. However, I believe that it's important to note that this is my first game jam, and I joined it as a some sort of experiment. I am trying to learn Godot from scratch and make my first game. I have enough game development experience, but this would be my first time working with Godot.
There is no game idea as of now, but I am looking to create a 2D pixel game. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.
If you are looking for a experienced team which might win the game jam, I'm afraid that this is not the team for you. On the other hand, if you are looking to get some experience and enjoy the process, I would be more than happy to collaborate.

In case of Pegs X Stickers, the similarities to Balatro are:
1. The points and mult system.
2. Stickers, which is an alternative for Balatro's jokers.
Even though this is only two points, these mechanics are the majority of the gameplay. However, I'm not sure why all of this matters. The similarities to Balatro are not a bad thing at all. I belive that the execution of Balatro's ideas is amazing in this game. I am yet to see another Balatro inspired "peg" game. Therefore, I belive that this game is truly, one of a kind.
A wonderful and one of a kind Balatro-like Rougelike.
I've played this game for some time, and I have a couple of things to say. Overall, the game is beautiful. The art style is unique (reminds me of Splatoon and I love it), the gameplay is unique as well, while being heavily inspired by Balatro (which is not a bad thing at all). This game really scratches that "monkey see number go up" itch. However, there are some things I would like to see on release. These points are based on a "demo", and I understand that things may already have been changed in development.
1. Lack of unlocks
As I stated earlier, this is based on a demo. But having things that add a "sense of achievement" would be great. Maybe it's an intended part of the game, and if it is, adding more variety would be nice. (I noticed the "Still to come" roadmap, makes me even more exited for the game!)
2. Difficulties with the controls
I've played this game on PC and mobile (I understand that the game may turn out to be PC only). On mobile the game is almost impossible to play. A solution that I thought of is adding some kind of aim and shoot buttons, leading to better precision. On PC everything is wonderful.
*3. Performance issues
I believe that these issues are due to the game running in the browser. Therefore, I've put a star to this point. Nevertheless, the game was running at like 20 fps for my whole playthrough, which kind of breaks the immersion. I am certain that this won't be a problem in the future.
Regardless, the game is fun as hell. I really had a blast playing it. I've wishlisted the game, and I will 100% be buying it on release. A really stylish, fun, yet complicated game. Amazing job!
P.S. I've added a photo of my best steel-peg run :)
