It seems that saving and laoding with a floppy disc in the pc haas been fixed around 0.9d. Also, "cannot load objects: prohibited. code 1" is normal on the home screen.

Amazing game, but its still pretty buggy. 

Backup your save, put the backup file somewhere outside of your votv folder, dont put anything in mailbox. Dont touch your save in the newer version, and then explore in old versions! If anything goes wrong, just put the backip back in your saves folder.

Maybe mess with fov? I cant realy think of any other solutions, as alot of games get stretched on ultrawide if they dont have explicit support.

What version of the game you are? Some versions dont do well with modding.

Reminds me of that one time I had a green light stick thing stuck above the server room roof. I could see it, but it was behind a mesh. Weeks ingame before I coukd get it out with a broom and a gravity gun

EDIT: It seems that DirectX 12 doesn't work (Yes I had it enabled on both Yeet patch and ReShade). I had to change both Yeet patch and ReShade to Vulkan.

Weird, Ive played on this save for like 30 days after switching to 0.9d and its been fine.

My ideas:

• Green
• Black
• Purple
• Darker versions of current colors

Make sure everything is unzipped, using 7zip They need to add more specific errors.

Ive updated from 0.9a to 0.9c with this save, so will it be compatible with 0.9e?

Saves from previous versions often causes issues, even inside only 0.9. My 0.9a to c version caused some issues.

I dint think the dev is going towards the visual style of raytracing, but idk.

That make sense, however mixing different ram sticks (especially high speed ddr5) is not usually not good practice. 

DO NOT MIX DIFFERENT RAM! It almost always causes problems. You do not need 128 gigs if ram for gaming, especially with a 4060.

128 gigs of memory is defiantly interesting. Are you sure every stick is the same? Also, what is your other specs?

I often listen to music while play votv, and it seems that the audio gets messed up (louder, possibly some distortion) significantly when opening a save. I'm using a JBL live 770nc over Bluetooth, and only happens when open a save. The main menu is fine, but not the pause screen.  I've also added some music from votv broadcast, and i just copied and pasted the text.

Edit: Even after deleting the text in the radio online.txt, audio still seems to be effected. After some testing, the audio sounds louder and like its played through water. The in game audio is also distorted.

I'll bet my 100+ day saves on this being a vibe coded mess.

The wiki is your friends, however it is updated to only 0.8 rn so expect some things to be different(farming is less op now). Passcode to most doors is either 1234 or 1111. Turn on some lights; the hallway lights are in the small room connected to the garage. Head to your computer and turn it on. Check your email and do what it asks. If you're in 0.9, get some trash bags (singular is best price, buy a lot) and start bagging the garbage piles. There is a mattress upstairs, but I usually bring it down to the signal room. There should be a sponge around somewhere to clean the walls and windows. Do not upgrade you signal processing level until you get speed upgrades! Aside from that and the tutorial, you're set! Just don't spend too long in the basement.

Edits since I did this very late at night:

• The sponge is inside the shower area
• You can break down large objects with the hacksaw and a crowbar
• make sure to compress trash into scrap
• Shovel trash to make trash which can be turned into scrap which is used for crafting
• The mattress works, but you should get a sleeping bag
• Idk if its broken in 0.9d/e, but 0.9c the incinerator doesn't make fuel

What was the reason?

Has this been going on since the start of the save? It could possibly be a object stuck in a wall or ceiling constantly making noise.

Sadly you can no longer proposw to Kerfur omega now, to my knowledge.

Ok it seems that the only way to get rid of the snow on the main menu is to go into a save with "Enable holiday events" disabled and go back to main menu. Music seems to be normal even with the snow.

Make sure you have season events disabled and the season set to something thats not winter. I'll check my download and report back.

Download Yeet patch and update to 0.9c. All your old saves will be broken so put all the stuff you want to keep in the mail box, update, and find "fix mailbox data" or something along those lines.

Hopefully when 1.0 releases.
