You're fine :)
It does store some things locally, you'll have to google to find what directory RenPy saves data to that matches your machine.
Having a look at it, I can't see what the problem would be.
1. This is an area that hasn't had anything change, pretty much since update one. With the exception of the JOI stuff. Looking at the code, those two dialogue options take you to the next segment, cleanly.
2. Tried it on my local build and couldn't reproduce it.
3. A soft lock one minute into the game would mean every single person who played the latest build would've encountered it, and you wouldn't be the first comment 18 days since the update.
So I'm not sure how to help you on this one without some more information, or a video or something. You might have to try a fresh install.
Yeah it's honestly my preference tbh Sleeve Shock would've worked really well having an extended they/them phase, but unfortunately they/them isn't something super common and understood by people, for it not to be confusing in a narrative where you don't always get easy context to know who's being referred to. You'll notice I use the character's name a SHITLOAD for this exact reason.
This was our first game, and we picked a tempo and kinda stuck to it. Sleeve Shock is now getting more of a minigame treatment, and then our newest project the Creature of Castorfield is all non-linear, and you're exploring to try and uncover the plot. Unfortunately as our skills have grown, Shackles hasn't been able to keep up, but we've been focusing on keeping the story going because I really like how it all plays together.
I am curious though, if we were to add minigames or something to this, what kind of thing would you be wanting?
There is plans to update this one in the future, we want to explore more end-stage story for the two characters. The plan was to do it once we got a little in front with our two new games: the Grand Butt-sex hotel and the Creature of Castorfield, but because of the itch delistings, and mastercard situation our budget has been slashed, and until we can recover and get our sales up or patreon numbers up this is unfortunately only a wishlist item
We're going to likely do a steam and itch simultaneous release, and the reason why we're held back from releasing on steam is that people play it on launch, and then leave a negative review that it's too short that stays up unchanged for years. So this time we're waiting until there's likely an hours worth of gameplay, which might be some months.
