I want to preface this comment by saying I'm a major fan of this game. It's so extremely satisfying to work through, though along with my praise I do have a few criticisms.  First of all, the update: The skip button is SO welcome, the map makes sense and feels like a good place to expand upon, and the UI changes such as the top-of-screen level counter are great.

I do have some major issues with the game at the moment: This game needs external item descriptions accessible mid-round. Even if they're just optional, a short description of each item on hover/click would be great. It took me ages at first to find out what the assassin's ability did since it isn't in shops, and in general, it'd be useful to new players.  Secondly, push and phase are terrible compared to swap. If an enemy is about to dash or teleport forward while they have their back against a wall, usually you can swap. But with the non-swapping characters, you have no choice but to tank it, which doesn't work well with the limited health pools. Third of all, the late-game enemies that are black blobs attack WAY too fast. It feels like there's no reaction time, and to deal with them without tanking you either need the perfect build/position or you need the time potion. They just aren't fun or satisfying to fight, they're annoying.

In the end, though, this game is extremely enjoyable, and I look forward to further updates and playing.

This is such a great game. The base mechanics feel smooth, though I do have a few notes.

First of all, a funny one: I didn't know what the assassins ability did at first, so I looked it up. But when you look up "Shogun Showdown Assassin" it's just a bunch of videos of the shogun showdown level of Hitman Silent Assassin, so you might have some issues there with the relation.

Secondly, later in the game the final enemies attack way too fast. While the health feels fine, having enemies on both sides ready to attack within two turns of spawning requires some REALLY specific contrivances to get through with skill, and at that point it's kind of already significantly luck based. I will admit, roguelikes are known for their RNG, and I have gotten better at some of the early attacks.

Thirdly, keep the first boss the same. It feels like an amazing first hurdle for players, and fighting him every run significantly increased my understanding of how the games mechanics worked considering knowing them allows you to no-hit him, and to no-hit him you need to know them well. It's really fun.

Fourthly, I kind of feel like the kid telling the teacher that they forgot to collect homework, so I'm just gonna put it out there that there are a few glitches that can be abused to do more than you're supposed to be allowed to.

Anyways, keep going with this please! It's very fantastic, and I can't wait for updates!

The scariest part of the game was how the audio glitches made me think my headphones were breaking.

I would adore it if this game was posted as a web playable as well, which as I've heard from my brother isn't hard to translate. I would love to play this on things such as chromebooks that cannot download all windows files.

Loved the seizure, great game.

In case anyone feels bad about their time after seeing the amazing times everyone else got, here's mine to prove that it's ok to not be the best.
