Hi,

If you are looking for free icons, for your application or game, you are in the right place. I want to share with you with my old-school pixel art icons - CC0 licensed. I don’t require any attributions or credits, however these are always very welcome. There is approximately 250 icons in the pack.

Nice music! :)

Hello,

I want to introduce my new sprite editor for c64 sprites. I think it is already an interesting alternative to SpritePad (to its free version at least). I hope you will like it. Program is made in Java and currently I provide only bare jar file, so you must install java to give a try for it.

https://tstamborski.itch.io/master-of-sprites

Features list:

  • Advanced preview with support for animations, sprite overlay and multi sprites made from a few connected single sprites.
  • All basic sprite operations: sliding in all four directions, horizontal and vertical flip, reflecting, rotation and negation.
  • Flip and rotation also possible once on all sprites in selection range (by corresponding command from selection menu).
  • Clipboard support with capability to copy/paste sprites between separate application windows or instances.
  • Short manual included in the help menu.
  • Undo/Redo mechanism.
  • Ability to export projects in batch mode - now you can export sprite projects from level of makefile or shell script.
  • Export to raw binary, prg file, assembly source code or image file (useful if you want to reap graphics from a memory dump; png, jpg and bmp files supported).
  • Work time counter to see how long you were working on particular sprite project.

BTW: If you don’t understand functionality of some of its buttons or options (and included manual doesn’t explain to much) you can always try to ask here or in comments on its page. I was trying to make my editor as easy to use as possible, but sometimes is not so easy to bring together functionality and user-friendliness.

Sorry, it’s a first ranked jam for me. I don’t see any button to give a vote for some project so I want to ask how exactly the voting works? I have promised somebody to give him a vote and i am curious now does it possible.

thanks in advice for your patience. :)

I don’t want to lie I think it’s a strange editor and buggy but I like people with the same hobbies and always appreciate the work and efforts so I promise to give you a vote in the game jam. Thanks for trying my calculator. :) I hope you don’t offend.

BTW: It’s a first ranked jam for me, so i don’t know how the voting exactly works. But i will remember your project. Good luck.

:-)

Good luck! :)

Honestly it wasn’t created during game jam period but i see that many people treat game jams as an opportunity to advertise their projects so me too. I hope that’s not a big problem. :)

i don’t like adventure games but i am amazed by your work. 5/5 from me. :)

i have never started in any game jam and i am worried not to do anything stupid. so i have a few questions.

  1. What will happen if i join jam and don’t submit anything?

  2. I already have ~1000 lines of assembly code. Is it not a problem that i have started before time?

  3. My idea for the game is very simplistic. it is a snake game, very similar to my c64 game:

https://github.com/tstamborski/Wild-Boa-Snake

i am planning to just do it better this time (and target ms-dos). is not to simple for the game jam?

Sorry for such questions but i am really starting (or want to start) for the first time.

hey,
i have send you an e-mail with question could i use your images in my program. i know you had written it’s free but this not necessarily means i can make a “derivative work”. Maybe i am a lot to much worry about copyrights, but i want to be decent with you.
