It presents an interesting concept, and I'm a sucker for gambling games, but I feel like it could have used a little explanation, be it in game or on the itch page itself, felt a little too trial-and-error-y. WebBuild lagged a bit, but web builds be web building lol. Overall good job tho!

Although connection isn't really strongly felt, I felt that there was passion poured into this project, and it charmed me. Congrats to the three of you :)))

For sure, but don't be too stressed about it, minor issue but the game still holds up!! :)

Honestly, more so than a game, i enjoyed this as a piece of vent art. It was slow, grueling, and my chances of getting a job increased incredibly slow. In any other game I'd call this bad design, here I call it a successful artistic depiction. Good game, nice bits of humour too!! :)

The dialogue is funny and charming, honestly kept me very engaged. The mechanic is interesting and its fun to play around, although I couldn't quite get past level 4,,,, I would say the game would benefit a lot from its movement being changed to being grid-based, since very often i would get stuck or have difficulty moving because i'd bump into the sides and edges of blocks, and it could also help prevent some glitches i have encountered (i do not think the swordfish going through a wall was a feature at least ahaha). You have a fun game in your hands tho, good job!

Killer fish from san diego...

Thank you so much!! Speaking personally, this was my first time taking helm of the art of a project, and even if I am a beginner and used assets here and there, I'm pretty proud of the work I did create (alongside my partner in crime's vision too of course heheheh), and I'm glad to hear you liked it!! Looking forward to playing your game too :P

Unfortunately as a team of two with limited time we couldn't find the time to add ambiance and/or music, but we're hoping to patch that in when we inevitably pick it back up soon!! As for the event at the end, it's supposed to be a key smashing minigame, and we decided to leave it as a surprise, but looking back, not the nicest one especially without a timer or explanation of what was happening hahah

Either way, many lessons learned, and we're glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the feedback, looking forward to trying your game out too!

Probably should have had a timer in retrospect... eto blehhh (thank youuuuu!!! <3)

Thank you so much for the feedback!! The shop detail is definitely something to take into account hahah as for the effects of the cards, it was explained on the Itch page, but unfortunately due to time constraints we couldn't fit a tutorial within the game. Our current plan is more so a single player experience, but I do see the vision with a multiplayer angle, I'm itching to work on that now ahahaha. Thank you again for coming by. and we'll definitely be looking at your game whenever possible! :)

Thank you for your comment!! As far as a tutorial, we did write some basic instructions in the Itch page itself, but yea, it not being implemented in the game is a result of the time constraint, sorry for that! We're glad you enjoyed it, and we'll get back to rating your game whenever possible :)

very cool concept!
