very clever concept! i think it could really use some kind of red glow or something on objects that need fixing, that was definitely the biggest gripe for me. i also felt like sometimes there was too much downtime between when objects need to be interacted with but i understand this kind of game is hard to balance for all skill levels anyhow. i love the inclusion of the sudoku and pipe puzzles even if they are only very abstractly universe/god related. with some polish i could see myself coming back to this

neat little game, definitely not bad for a first! i ran into some issues in the second level where it was very difficult to stop between the two purple block sections because the falling velocity was just way too much—some code to stop reset the fall velocity when you hit the ground would be nice. it was also pretty easy to get stuck in those changeable blocks but that wasn't too big of a deal. definitely a humble project but it was an enjoyable play!

the concept here is so awesome.. with polish and pacing/speed adjustments this game could be super fun. it definitely gets more engaging in the later waves but the early parts feel slow and could use indicators for where enemies spawn so you're not just wandering around. again though i like the concept so much i would love to see this as a more fleshed out game

such a fun concept and executed pretty well too, i could see this being extra fun with a friend. the controls are difficult but in a good party game kind of way—awesome stuff

that's exactly the kind of person i make games for because im that person too... it's so hard for me to gauge what's hard to the average player because i grew up with super meat boy and iwbtg lol

i understand it's kind of a niche appeal thing these days, but if i have a short amount of time im just gonna make levels that satisfy me without too much polish or balancing. i definitely went a bit overboard on the last couple rooms though.

im really glad you enjoyed it! the feeling is mutual--good luck with your game too

(oh, and feel free to hit me up if you need music for a game, i am lookin for portfolio work)

a great concept, it reminds me of a board game like cascadia where you really have to think of the relationship between tiles you place down. surprising strategic depth and quantity of unique tiles. i love it... this could be such a nice puzzle game

holy crap, the splash art when you catch a fish is so good

i was stuck for a bit on where to go, but i eventually figured it out. what a nice game! the visuals are fantastic, the only thing that left a bit to be desired was the generic sound effects—i feel like they contrast with the striking and new-age-retro visual style a bit. the game also seems to run a little low framerate in browser. but honestly i agree, there is a great concept here and the execution is just as good, i would love to see it as a finished game, i could easily imagine it as a beloved steam indie hidden gem kind of game!

absolutely love this concept! i appreciate how intuitive all the animals' food preferences are without having to spell anything out—if this was a full game with all kinds of animals, i feel like you'd learn a thing or two from it about animal diets that you might not have known otherwise...

also, the game could maybe use a fail state, like some kind of balancing with the coins you spend and the food you have to serve—there's potential here. besides that though. the concept alone makes it worth a play

OK, i have to thank this game for informing me of the existence of kuru kuru kururuin... playing this i thought, "i would love to play a full version of this", and now i basically have it lol

i like the idea of this text adventure style game, i've always wished there were more games in this style. it is pretty simplistic and could use even simple features like audio or hitting enter to submit—but hey, it's your first game jam,  it's great to participate no matter what!

sorry about that, i released a patch that should make it brighter. it might've been an issue with how it shows up on my monitor and perhaps gamemaker HTML exporting. thanks for your feedback and for playing!

thanks so much for playing, i'll make the first room a bit brighter next build i upload i kind of thought it was too dark but i was very short on time lol
