Although you CAN use a PS4 controller with the game, it is currently optimised for Xbox controllers - you might find a few inconsistencies. The most notable of these is that certain buttons might not match up - The A button is Square, for example.

In order to use a PS4 controller with the game, you'll need to connect the controller with the USB cable that came with your PS4 system. Then give your system time to find and install the necessary drivers - PS4 controllers should do this "out of the box" so to speak, but this might depend on your OS.

IMPORTANT: at this stage you should make sure the power on your PS4 system is completely unplugged - there are stories of systems still receiving input and buying hundreds of games by accident.

Once drivers are installed correctly, make sure the controller is on and boot up the game - you should find yourself able to play, although as mentioned before the controller will likely have some mapping issues.

Hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy the demo! Take some screenshots :D

Hello! We've been working on Glitchrunners - a chaotic local multiplayer brawler - for quite some time now. Development is nearing the end and we decided to launch a demo on itch! We've loved since our student project Landslide McQueen, and it felt like the perfect place for our first professional project.

What is Glitchrunners?

Glitchrunners is an asymmetric local multiplayer game that uses second-screen technology to create a chaotic and exciting experience. Up to four players, using a PC/Mac, run an action-packed side scrolling 3D gauntlet, contending with treacherous team mates, hair-raising hazards and a whole lot of explosions. A final player takes on the role of the Architect – and uses a second screen to dynamically control the game environment itself. With the world at their fingertips, the Architect can collapse buildings, throw countless objects, and unleash mind bending special powers in real time as they attempt to stop their friends.

What's included in the demo?

The Glitchrunners demo features two different game modes for you and your friends to try. Glitch Run is our unique second-screen mode described above, and we've also included a taster of our three new single-screen Arena modes - King of the Hill, Powercube and Deathmatch!

Why should I try it?

You can turn off gravity and throw a giant bus at your mates. Also the bus is on fire. Its a very very silly video game.

So yes, I'd love it if you could check it out! Its the final public/external feedback stage before release and every little helps us make this the best game it can possibly be. Hope you enjoy it!
