a shuffling animation would also be cool. also the music is really, really nice

i just noticed that i cant actually make 2 words at once in one turn… why..?

the game is really nice. some qof features like quickly seeing which letters are left and how many of them are left, maybe a bit more effects, for example tile shaking when scored…

overall it has a really unique and nice design, def giving old school game vibes. would buy for sure

i also think you should be able to make multiple words from a not yet created word(so lets say i add a far and i should be able to make for example fog from the f, assuming the f from far is a new letter on the board

font in desc of items should be bigger for sure

That was quick for such a nice looking ui, great job! The invisible roof appears to be working just fine as well.

Also, if you are planning on polishing the game, making it greater, and thinking about at some point in development releasing the game on like steam or something, or overall just going further with the project to make it from a demo to a full game, let me know, and i will give you feedback on what i think could be good for the game, if you want me to do so.

uhhh yeah you can just use the shotgun and you can fall off the map very easily

and the coins shouldnt disappear so fast

and sensitivity

You should put some invisible walls and a menu with settings like rendering res and music/sound + master sound control and itll be a greater game

on macos to make the game work, do:
cd [root folder of the .app file]/Picture\ Poker.app/Contents/MacOS
then do:
chmod +x Picture\ Poker

its probably too late but https://heroicgameslauncher.com/ or https://www.reddit.com/r/linux4noobs/comments/1gmsxkx/how_to_download_steam_and_...

I mean adding more insturments to the track. Like, so instead of just 5 drums we can have like 8 or 9 or however many we want.

Could we get the ability to add more instrument and drums? I know this is supposed to be an easy music creation tool, however, I would love to use more instruments and ESPECIALLY drums, as, to be honest, it would make creating even easier, by allowing us, the users, to create better songs, cleaner to "read" songs, etc. I hope this gets addes someday!

(i have the steam version btw lol, if you get confused why i dont own the app here on itch)

If you really don't want to try to fix shi then download the windows version and use Heroic Launcher with wine or proton.

I see. This does make sense I suppose. Are you maybe considering selling the source code, then..? I know it may be too much to ask for, but this is a pretty good starting point for a project. I do understand if you’re not gonna do that, of course.

dangg, thats sad, that the websites do that.. D:

For such a small project, this is a pretty good one to be honest. However, if you are planning on updating it and keeping it alive, i have some feedback for you, especially since i am an experienced survivor-like games player, and i know what players would want.

First thing i noticed; when you receive damage, it doesnt feel like you did, there is no sound, there is no animation from the attacking enemy, and you can't really feel the impact. Other than adding animations and sounds, what should also be added is a small wave that knocks enemies back, so the player can get some space [example].

Second, the player should do [the same knockback that they'd get, maybe less maybe more, depends, but in this game i think they should get the same, it would fit better considering the old aesthetic, and how much the games were optimized back then.] after choosing an upgrade.

Third, the ui. The ui is alright, i guess, maybe the colors dont fit that well(imo you should make the red a bit lighter and the yellow a bit darker on the top bar when playing the game), and the ui of the perma upgrades is absolute shi in my opinion. There should either be a scroll bar or 2 arrows for scrolling cuz right now, having to use w and s to 'scroll' is terrible. Also, in the main menu lack of the settings tab is not really good, i know you can access it from the escape menu but... it's a good idea to have it in the main menu as well. Also, there should be some outlines, because for example the escape menu blends in with the top bar while playing, and it doesnt  really look all that nice.
A good idea would be to also implement a windowed mode, which could be scaled however you, the dev, would like, cuz as long as there is a windowed mode, it's alright.

Also, the magnet can spawn outside of the player's reach, that's not good at all.

The sound is alright, though, maybe some succesful hit feedback could be nice(not multiple on multiple enemies at once just one if enemies hit >= 1).

the upgrades are surprisingly okay, they fit pretty well, the fact that there are levels under the upgrades is also pretty good, the perma upgrades are nice as well. however, there is a perma upgrade that would be great; shield bash. shield bash would do what it says, bash enemies, knocking them back, which would allow the player to get the coins for upgrades, because its hard as fuck to get the coins after like 2 minutes in the game, due to the amount of enemies, and due to how little damage you do. you'd need to max out the perma damage upgrades which is, well, it depends on what you as the dev are tryna make the player do, but usually bad. Speaking of collecting the upgrade points, as i said earlier, it's pretty hard. What you could do is either make them slowly go towards the player when in certain range or add a perma upgrade that would do that, and more levels to the perma upgrade would either make the points go faster or they would come from a bigger range(going faster is the better thing here tbh)

For your first survivors-like with the top-down perspective(at least looking from your itch.io page), the game is not bad at all, honestly, it's actually pretty good. It has a good concept. All it needs is a push, from someone that has experience with such games. There are a few choices for you if you dont want to consult anyone while making the game better. Watch some reviews for different games: roguelites(or action roguelikes), top-down games, top-down twin-stick games, top-down roguelite games. some examples: Blooddome99, Blooddome Classic, Vampire Survivors, Neon Sundown, Intravenous, Kill the crows, Enter the Gundeon, Hades, Ravenswatch.
Another choice is to play those games. Some free games include: Blooddome Classic, Disfigure, Hollow Survivors: Prologue, The Braves.
Some paid examples which i personally recommend, for how good examples they are and because they're pretty nice games which are nice to keep in the library later:
Blooddome 99, Kill the crows, Breakpoint, Enter the Gundeon.
How should you learn from these? Simple: play the games, see what you like about them, see what you dont like about them, implement changes to your own game, and done!
Of course, the third choice is to consult players that like such games, ask for feedback, etc.

Overall, this game has great potential, it is a pretty nice thing for what it is too, but it does need bug fixes, new features... If you want some feedback from me, you can hit me up on discord, my username is: "lubie_placki.2137". Good luck in creating your game! So far, you are truly doing really well.

Also, if this review comes out as harsh, i am sorry, but i am trying to give you feedback, which sometimes is like that. I truly do like the game so far, it's really nice, but it does need improvement. I hope you find my message helpful.

thanks for consideration! I’m looking forward to that. Also, what do you need a drm for, when your game is free, and you’re not using any kind of software that would check for ownership of licenses for the game?

It didn’t. I thought you need to have a Mac for that… huh. Eh, whatever.

then why and how did you make a macOS build

Yo, pumpkin WHAT?!

Hii so i got this error/message after recently trying to play the game out of bore, i then tried to download the zip file and build it on electron off of that but i got this message again, mind helping?

I am assuming this is some sort of piracy protection? If so, will you ever make an electron/anything else build that would allow players to play the game offline on multiple systems, or at least on MacOS and/or Windows??

MacOS version does not work - the file that should be the executable is not an executable which makes macOS say "This application cannot be opened". The file for macOS that is supposed to be the executable is a document instead.  Image of the app contents

happy birthmonth

The game was so good I came

Hi! I have issues while trying to install the game with WINE on macOS, using Heroic Launcher, WINE CrossOver 23.7.1.-1. The installer says:
Internal error: failed to expand shell folder constant "autopf"

Based on the info I found online, it looks like I am missing dependencies, but I am unsure what the dependencies are. I have not yet tried to install it on my Windows pc but I do not believe that it is relevant enough for me to care about that, considering I am trying to install it on my Mac. Please tell me what the dependencies are, thank you in advance.

ahh I thought it’s you lmao, sorry.

is bro a dad or what😭💔 why don’t you like, help him or something dude

I’m guessing you need to download them all? To play the game? Or are they just different episodes or something?

Hi there! Do you maybe mind uploading a high-res version of the logo that is set as the page icon? (). Thanks in advance!

Please tell me there is gonna be a macOS build, PLEASEEEEE
