Wow.
This is one of the strongest demo's I have seen and I am absolutely baffled it is your first writing project.
I am (no pun intended) absolutely obsessed with the visuals ((immediately upon opening the game and seeing the main menu art, I knew it was going to be fantastic)) and how well this was written - I ADORE the detail of his eyes and the usage.
I am super excited to be following along as chapters release. Brilliant all around, thank you for posting. ^^

I have yet to see a visual novel play with ghost // spirits // general witchy stuff and I am super excited to see where this heads !
Salem is endearing yet blunt, the CG's are gorgeous (esp the animated ones ! ^^ ), the backgrounds are really charming - chef's kiss all around. Definitely will be following along to see how this progresses, super promising!!
As the previous commenter said, there is an issue with Nelly's sprite as it says this error:
Couldnt find file 'images/Background_Char/Bar/Nelly/Nelly_2.png'.
