An interactive fantasy narrative exploring memory, prophecy, and consequence.

The Forgotten Mage is a branching, choice-driven narrative developed using Twine (SugarCube). The project explores nonlinear storytelling, player agency, and layered narrative structure through a series of interconnected paths.

In Sulemanrule, gold remembers—but people do not.

The cities are cemeteries. The mines never close. Those who betray the Four Families are burned alive in the Dark Harvest, and the rest learn quickly to fall in line.

Memories slip away so easily that, without a name carved in stone, even the dead might forget that they have died.

You came searching for answers, but the land is slow—and unwilling—to give them.


A curse was buried here long ago, hidden in rhyme and ritual. The land has not forgotten it.

The question is whether you will remember—before you too are forgotten.

A beta version is currently available for browser-based play, focusing on structure, flow, and readability prior to the addition of illustrations. A full release is planned for Summer 2026.
