I appreciate all the feedback!! Apologies for the bug with losing lives offscreen, I'm not quite sure the cause of it, but I'll dig into it and get an updated built after the jam ends!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! And there are a few secrets off the beaten path to find the other coconuts :)

Thanks, glad you liked it! And no, unfortunately I ran of time for crank controls, I had a busy weekend and couldn't start until Sunday morning, so it took all the time I could carve out to get it playable where it was. Using the crank for that was the original intent! I didn't even consider blowing into the microphone, so perhaps I need to get a post jam version out with those features :D

Thanks for the feedback! There were definitely a lot of ideas I was playing around with, such as enemies that can be moved with magnets and having limited magnet power duration that would be upgraded as the game went on, but I hadn’t thought of launching with the magnet, that’d be interesting! And yeah, good point on it’s hard to know if there is metal on later screens or not. I played around with visualizing some sort of magnet field (like moving arrows or something) but agree that finding a way to make that more obvious will be helpful.

Definitely a few bugs here and there, a bit of lag moving between screens on device (probably bc I’m using too many sprites, and I ran out of time for making sound/music, but I hope you enjoy and look forward to feedback!

thank you!! I really appreciate the feedback!!

thank you so much for the feedback and for playing! Actually, my original plan for the clams was that they would trap the fish so the fish would need to avoid them as well but I wasn’t able to getting the working as well as I wanted during the jam. I do plan on expanding this, and definitely would be interesting to make the fish interact more with the world!

Added a download where the only change is removing the sound the urchin makes bumping against walls! Hopefully that makes the experience in the first room less annoying!

glad it worked and you liked it!! And yeah, that’s what happens when I play with bfxr at 3am lol. Also really funny that you called it a dink because that is what the variable for that sound clip is called!

Thank you! I just attached a pdx.zip, and I think that should work!

Looks like I accidentally reuploaded the same file as I submitted before the jam ending. I didn't make any changes, and I don't know what happened since I didn't hit save on the itch.io update page.

Guess I may have missed the boat on the game jam then. How do I do that? I just tried using pdc, and it just keeps making a pix file that isn't zipped.

I am! I used a physics library for this version that won’t port over to the play date, but I’m starting to work on making a full version of this for the playdate! I have my playdate already and am excited to see where it goes! Thanks for reaching out!

I’ve started playing around with the SDK a little, but I’ll definitely look at porting this!

Thanks for playing, and I had a great time :) I definitely look forward to adapting it to run on the actual Playdate device!  I unfortunately didn't have the chance to make all the blocks interact with each other the way I wanted, but it's definitely on my list of things to do for an updated version.
