Hi, I don't know why but for some reason it is not showing me the results

hi, the results will be revealed tonight at 17:00 BST(British summer time)

https://itch.io/jam/student-game-jam-2021/topic/1553851/what-did-you-get-if-you-...

Hi, is there any chance that you would be able to set the game so that it’s on sale or something so that people can rate the game for free? Also is there a pc build/iPhone build of the game?

yes you can make whatever game you want

Just to clarify, the theme (You are not the main character) is meant to apply to the player meaning that the player can play as whatever you want as long as it is not the main character.  Unfortunately,  as the game is currently unplayable I am not able to verify whether the game meets this objective or not. This does mean that the game's submission will be removed. However as there is still a month left, you will have more than enough time to develop a new project or modify and fix the existing one.

Hi, unfortunately if the game doesn’t fit the theme (you are not the main character) it might have to be removed. I would also like to remind people that one of the jam’s rules is to have at least one accessibility feature.

you will only need to submit the game once

no but if you plan on working in a team you can use whatever form of communication you want

unfortunately there isn’t a prize planned for the winner but they are more than welcome to celebrate however they want. I might stream all the submissions on twitch during the judging period

you can you’ll just have to credit the creators of a* path finding.

yes as stated in the jam’s description “The aim of the jam is to encourage those who are currently studying Game design/Game Art/development to practice their skills and for those who aren’t currently studying a games related course to learn new skills.”

I need help with my unity game if anyone can help me? it's for some reason showing "/n" (which is supposed to signal a new line in the dialogue) on the screen.

Are we allowed to use sound effects and music?

I have made a fix that should hopefully fix this problem, if it persists let me know. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HOWJFtoRHsuEmqpQpC0ddlvU3jJ5vum-/view

I have made a fix for the game I'm not sure if it will definitely fix this problem. (the game is set to 4K by default but it should automatically set itself to the highest available resolution) if you want to check it out it can be found here.

Absolutely amazing game. You could've released this on steam for like $5-$10 and know one would know that it was made in a weekend. Could've done with a few more levels though

Thanks for letting me know. I will look into this.

Hi, it could be possible that I just haven’t set the canvases to scale with screen size. How much of the screen are you able to see? Have you changed the resolution in the settings (second button) menu?

I’ve been having the same problem. Has anyone let Adam or one of the other organisers know? They could set up some sort of form or something where we vote for our favourites in each category or something.

I would love to receive some feedback for my game “You’re keeping us apart, Lisa”. Just make sue to follow the instructions on the game’s page to play it.

This happened a couple of days ago so I’m not sure whether or not this has been fixed yet but has anyone else not been able to submit your scores when you rate a game?

Sorry my bad. I’ll add some screenshots as soon as I can.

Hi, this is just a comment just to inform people that there is a bug that renders the game in-executable. an updated version of the game will be pushed out once uploads are unlocked again. In the meantime in order to get past this go into the game folder that Itch downloads, go into the folder marked "You're keeping us apart lisa" and change the name of the folder called "IndieTalesJamGame_Data" to "YoureKeepingUsApartLisa_Data".  Apologies for the slight inconvenience, I probably didn't see this as I was in a bit of a rush to submit the game in time.

Thanks

This is really good, however I would've made the difficulty curve more gentle

Oh hi Mark

Here's mine: https://finn-chapman.itch.io/ping-and-pong

Here's mine https://finn-chapman.itch.io/ping-and-pong I'll check yours out later

Hey, is there any chance that you could check out my game.  https://finn-chapman.itch.io/ping-and-pong

Hi thanks for your comment. The game was designed so that it could fit my monitors (which are 3940x2160) So I appologise for this over sight.

This is my game. It's called Ping and pong and is basically what you would get if you combined Pong with Portal (minus the absolutely amazing writing and end credits song). https://finn-chapman.itch.io/ping-and-pong. If you want I might be able to jump into the streams chat if you get around to answer any questions about the game. I will also check yours out.

Here's my little game. https://finn-chapman.itch.io/ping-and-pong

Hi, I currently don't have a working webGL build but I do have a fully functioning Windows version.

The game is called Ping and Pong. You play as both Ping and Pong in a game that I would probably describe as a game that's part Pong part Portal style puzzle game.

I do also have a twitch account so if you want I might be able to jump into the chat and answer questions when it's on the stream.

I'm trying to play the game but it doesn't seem to be loading.
