I think this is the first tower defense game I've come across for the game jam.
I love the retro art style C:
Pretty cool! Good job!

I found a house that said "We should get lights out, there could be goblins outside for all we know" and I immediately entered that house. Lights will not deter this goblin. . .
Great teak on the theme! I loved the artwork and sprites, especially the goblin and their little noises. The ambient sound was also super nice to listen to. Plus you have the map and clues, good work on both the coding and art side of things! You guys did great. Amazing work especially in five days.
Woah...
INSANE job. I love your take on the game jam's theme, you really integrated the theme into your story and it felt natural. Not only is the visuals nice but the sound design pairs very well with the game.
I also really enjoyed the stats you pick at the start because it reminded me of some of my favorite choose your path kind of adventures and story book games.
Well done, I loved it!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! There was a TON to get done in the time and I sincerely tried my best to get done what I could. I even had it where customers would leave a mess behind but unfortunately I had to cut that as well as some other unfinished content out. I think if I had just one more day I could have polished things up so much better.
This would have been equally impossible if it wasn't for the amazing work of the artist as well!
I like and am a huge fan of the retro style a ton!
I can definitely see the direction you were heading with this and I think you did a swell job with the time you had!
I would 100% play a more developed version of this game if you had more time, I like the system of your movement dictates theirs so you have to play around with it a bit!
Good job!
I super enjoyed the gameplay of this! I loved the exploring for the next entrance down, it kind of sparked a sense of Stardew nostalgic for me for trying to rush to the next path down as resources dwindle.
The animations, atmosphere, art, and ui, are very well done!
You guys did great for only five days!
AHHH, I'm so sorry things were hard to figure out. You aren't the only or first at that!!
I super wished I had more time to make the game more user friendly, but essentially you would go into the basement and process it through the various stations. So flesh through the stove made it seared, running it through the sink after cleaning any dishes made it bloodied, stove gives baked, and pot boiled. It also was unintentionally way too hard to beat...
Thank you for your feedback though and I'm so glad you found the instructions humorous <3
The change in music when you day in the long walk is sooooo cool.
For not knowing how to code, especially your first game, especially especially since it's only five days... YOU DID AWESOME!!!! GOOD JOB AND I HOPE YOU'RE PROUD OF YOURSELF!!!
Loved the art and sprites, hope you participate in other game dev endeavors <3
