Yeah we definitely should have tried to do less and focus more on perfecting 1 or 2 things. I appreciate you taking the time to look at our game.

I had fun with this game. At first I was ignoring all the interactions until I noticed that wet is mostly a penalty unless you're using electricity. When I started paying attention it made it much easier to get through the waves. What helped even more though were the buildings that reduce the cost of your building. Holy hell that building is completely busted. At the end I was stamping down tons and tons of buildings and clearing the waves easily. (The game definitely gets easier as you go on). I can really appreciate that you tried to make a game focused on mechanics and at that you definitely succeeded. You also succeeded in keeping me engaged until the last wave. I was kinda disappointed that there wasn't an end screen and I had setup a whole world only to realize I couldn't summon another wave. (Screenshot is the wave just before that).
Now on to the things that could be better. Graphically the game isn't very compelling. It's kind off a mess of different art styles, there is a mix between different pixel sizes, there are issues with the UI; such as not being able to click on the picture of the card when you pick one. The music and sound effects got boring pretty quickly. The best thing about the graphics were the damage numbers flying through the screen near the end. It would have benefited the game a lot if you had focused more on picking a nice font and creating some different animations and effects to make it pop more. Balance wise like I already said I feel like there were a lot of good ideas mechanically but the game is totally bused (which I think is the right choice for a game that people are realistically going to play only once ever).
So yeah there is a lot left to improve on, don't quit your day jobs for this one. But most important of all I really enjoyed my (short) time with this game and I thank you for making it ❤️

Great work, I'm very impressed how good of a polished experience you were able to create solo. The best parts for me are definitely the amazing graphics and the feel of the game. It really feels and handles very well. I didn't have much time to play so maybe I missed some things but it does feel like there isn't much to do aside from running and gunning but I think you already did more than most could realistically do on their own in1 week.
Few small hiccups for me. I'm one of those annoying users that's both on linux and using an ultrawide (21:9) monitor. I had to actually get a 16:9 monitor from the attic to play your game because part of your UI is rendered off screen when you play in ultrawide (and I couldn't find a way to change it to windowed mode). And I had to crank up the sensitivity to max in order to make the game playable for me. This has been an issue with other unity games on linux and I don't think you're at fault for that.
Either way great work, I'm very impressed.
This is our game, hope it brings you some joy https://led.itch.io/tilesetter
I hope you enjoy our game. Honest feedback is appreciated https://timfennis.itch.io/the-osiris
Wow I'm very impressed. Building a game with an actual story for a game jam is very ballsy. The art looks great, the music is great, the sounds are great. I don't think I'm the target audience for your game but I enjoyed the entire journey from the beginning to the end. Some little things I noticed that stood out to me
1. Didn't encounter any bugs or weird stuff
2. Love the dialog windows with the bursting text and the typing sounds.
3. You had an on screen tutorial explaining what to do.
4. Multiple endings that were easily accessible without having to play through the game.
Great job, very impressed, I hope you get a shout out in Brackeys video.
The art and the music in this game is very well done. The style is coherent and looks very cool. I like that you had multiple _songs_ for the different levels and they all sounded good and it didn't get repetitive during my play. Your game fits the theme perfectly thanks to it's crazy art style, and the idea of doing a bunch of mini-games plays into the theme as well.
Now for the honest part. I don't think the mini games are very engaging or challenging. Many of them ended too soon , and after one or two attempts I was able to complete them without much difficulty. I was also unsure whether this was intentional, but the dancing game only responds to A and D, not the arrow keys.
Most of my enjoyment came from the art direction. The visual style is excellent and easily the strongest part of the game for me. All in all great job, definitely a game to be very proud of and good luck in the Jam!
First game played. I enjoyed playing your game, I like the idea of a roguelite game where you build up an area that you can farm. I got to room 15, around that time I started getting a bit bored and got a little too careless and died to the shuttle enemies (the ricocheting bullets are very chaotic). I felt like I could have gone much much longer before the rent would catch up to me, maybe never? I never figured out what the purpose of the cabin room was, that doesn't seem to give you anything? The graphics are simple but they make sense en feel very coherent. One _bug_ that I noticed is that if you pick up a bunch of coins (such as the treasure in the dungeon) a lot of sounds play at the same time which kinda hurt my ears.
Great game, great job, good luck!

I've added your game to my list and I'll rate and review it honestly.
Hi this is our game. First game we've ever made. We put an insane amount of effort into it and I'm not sure if it was worth it but ey, give it a try: https://timfennis.itch.io/the-osiris
I'll rate and review your game once I get a chance to behind my PC again.
Hi this is our game, we'd love honest feedback on it https://timfennis.itch.io/the-osiris
I've added your game to my list so I'll check it out later ❤️

I really hope I'm able to see you play this!
Some quick feedback to maybe fix before the deadline. I downloaded the linux build and in the 2nd level it was impossible for me to see where to jump I think some of the shaders of shadows are not working. It also seems impossible to make the screen size larger which makes it very difficult to play on higher resolutions. Finally on the web build where I can play full screen my mouse sensitivity is comically low (maybe an issue because I'm on linux?) so it was very hard to look around.
