Yeah. I hate that I didn't get to finish/ polish.

It's "done" for the most part, but it just has some bugs and glitches that I didn't get to polish out. I also didn't realize the aspect ratio requirements, which would have caused me to redraw a chunk of my assets. It sucks because I left myself time to do that... But that's life when you're a solo dev. Haha

Thanks for playing!

  1. What did you learn about financial literacy?

I come from a pretty strong financial literacy family... was taught about investing stupidly young. So trying to pass on that knowledge in game form was interesting. Turns out I might have made some things too hard.

2. How did you apply what you learned to your game?

I tried to make investment choices pop up and make you think either long term or short term or risky gains.

3. What challenges did you face in making it work?

Real life got to me sadly :/ I was looking forward to finishing this one in time but life happens. I'll circle back around to this game soon and get it debugged and clean up some of the questions etc.

Oh on the investment notes. I was chasing down a few bugs that explained the investments better. They are a risk reward thing. You have certain investments that are pretty much guaranteed and some that you can lose it all on. (Like meme coins.)

The investment payout window bugs on me depending on which screen is up when the investment pays out... and my window timer wasn't working to keep multiple menus from popping up at once. I need to mess with it and probably take it off a timer (because now that I think about it... if someone is looking at the question and the investment pops up... the timer is firing but behind the other windows still.... OHHH debugging)

This game is hilariously good. Well done! "Stupid game"

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah the coins are a bit too addictive... which may or may not been what I was going for.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah... I realized a bit too late that I made the questions a bit to tough for some of the math involved. I live in a math and finance heavy house hold. Probably should have toned things down a hair. haha

I found myself clicking sometimes and forgetting to answer the questions when I was testing.

Hopefully I will get a bit of time to actually polish it (I had planned to spend the last 15 days of the jam polishing but life happened)

Solid little idle clicker. Well designed and implemented

Yeah. I ran out of time for development. I had a lot of things I needed to get done but time got to me. It wasn't really scope creep, it was life creep.

I'm married to a CPA so... My financial knowledge might not have been the best thing to use when making the game. Haha

Yeah. I played around with different difficulty settings BUT ultimately wanted people to just have fun with the story in this one.

I coded in the "skip" function but didn't get it wired up in time. I plan on adding that feature after the jam

The game will end if you hit skip too many times in a row. It's a feature not a bug.

The rolling attacks is a nice mechanic. Took a minute to get used to but it was solid once ya did.

Interesting little game. The camera kept snapping around on me which made things a bit tough at times and definitely could use a navigation arrow or something to let me know which direction to fly in. BUT the flight mechanics etc were a lot of fun. Well done

Interesting little concept. Navigation could definitely use an update.

The "get unstuck" key was absolutely necessary. The game play was not super difficult once you got use to switching realms. I'll mimic what another post said... its a horror version of pacman

It happens to the best of us.

I absolutely did! I used to spend hours playing snake on a nokia. This was a refreshing take Haha

Cheese and the saving of earth is serious business Karl

ahh. Okay I didn't realize it was Q and E to rudder. That will do it.

So controls are

Shift: Throttle Up
CTRL: Throttle Down
Q: Rudder Left
E: Rudder Right
A: Roll Left
D: Roll Right
W: Up
S: Down

I didn't see them anywhere in game or on the game page.

Absolutely delightful little platformer... and I generally suck at platformers. Well done.

I could not figure out the controls to save my life... literally. I was able to go straight and take off but I was unable to figure out turning etc. I crashed... often. Maybe a little "how to fly" in the description would help those having issues. Shift is throttle up, control throttle down, but turn right, left, etc didn't really work for me... at least in browser.

Thanks for playing.

Yeah I currently have the amount of questions pretty much exactly set for the amount of unlocks. I guess I should add a few buffer questions.

As far as the display. Yeah I'll give that a try but I drew everything for 1920x1080.

Solid little game. I kept having to remind myself I was playing snake where you would lose instantly if you hit a wall or something else.

Nailed it on so many levels! Good job. I kept getting a D... which I suppose is one way to date.

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it.

Glad you enjoyed it!

And I just realized I missed the 800x600 rule and don't think I'll have time to really get that fixed.

So I stayed up all night the past couple nights "finishing" my game. I could use a little help with some debug/ play throughs if anyone wants to give it a shot.

I know of a few visual bugs I'm trying to chase down and a couple bugs in the upgrades. But if you see anything that breaks the game let me know.

Creative use of the theme! Took me a minute to figure out how to move but once I did that was really enjoyable.

Solid polished little puzzle game. Good job!

Fun little game, the energy bar fills WAY to slowly though.

Well done! It's like the game operation but you're guiding a ball through a maze.

(1 edit)

The wheel has a couple different control modes. You can of course drag the tuning wheel at the bottom left or right to rapidly move it OR you can click left and right of the center of the grey tuning wheel to move it slowly.

I decided to focus on audio, story, and animations this go around vs complex game play/ puzzles. Thanks for playing!

As far as the typing and the audio not syncing up. That was a battle/ design choice. I didn't want to give too much away by having dialogue start popping up until you held the frequency for a couple seconds. Then I tried my best to tune in a function that allowed the typing and audio to catch up to each other. I battled that up until I hit submit.

If I had more time I probably could have gone through and synced everything up via timecode BUT I just kind of had to settle for a words per minute formula x the length of the audio.

Yeah, I focused on the animations, story, and audio in this one over complex gameplay. The game play is mainly speed to solve a puzzle while not getting too distracted by the stories. haha

The audio in this is HILARIOUS. Solid little idle tower defense. I liked the concept of cards.

Small visual glitch on the first couple of cards during the tutorial (they were rapidly flashing different colors when I went to select them... it doesn't mess with game play at all... just made me go WHAT IS HAPPENING)

But yeah, this one is funny

Interesting and fun little delivery root manager. The UI kind of gets in the way though as others have stated. Solid little start to a game.

The not having WASD controls made this game a lot more difficult because I kept pushing the wrong buttons just on instinct.

Solid choice on the music though.

Solid little mobile game. Something I could easily see myself getting sucked into. Good job.

That would make sense. Even a button that appears after the story that says play game. I set for a few minutes before I just said "I think I'm supposed to hit skip." Still a fun little jam game.

Glad you enjoyed it. Trevor is a gem of a human and very talented.
