I think people who already know how to do it would benefit from mentioning. At the same time, there are loads of ways to set up a local server, and even one's built directly into the browser that take almost no technical expertise to run. (Just google "web server for chrome" and options pop up immediately).
Just wanted to note that the character creater does actually work with the web version so long as you run it on a server locally instead of directly in browser. Only the name doesn't work, but the image works
The mac error doesn't look like that cuz the game's been auto crashing, I had to open the terminal to get this error to report. Also, tried both already, and no, def is the right file, cuz I got it to work eons ago on a different mac and I worked fine.
