There's an "Unlock everything" button in the settings

This version is a visual overhaul of the entire game, which is why there is nothing new content-wise. The previous version with the exact same amount of content was 2.1 GB as well, so it's actually a leap in optimization at the same time as it is a jump in visual quality, so I'd say that bodes well

Thanks for the reply.  So does that mean there's a chance for pregnancy specifically, or is that one just off the table?

Soon(TM). Hopefully before the year is over, but it might be early next year too; either way probably no more than 2 months at most. (No confirmed release date or anything, so this is guesswork on my part based on previews shared and statements from FarmGuy on the Discord server about how close to finished)

Cool, good to know. Any concrete plans for what sort of content's gonna be in the game? Like pregnancy or some fetishy stuff, or is it gonna be completely vanilla without any of that?

You got anything resembling a release schedule for new updates, or is it one of those "It'll be ready when it's ready" kind of dev cycles?

No, almost definitely not. The game seems quite far from the finale all things considered, the only way this is actually close to the end at this point is if the author decides to make a sequel game or something, which I've heard no news of

Same, enduring through the early artwork turned out to be incredibly worth it with how good this is.

Losing it to Amber is not possible I think? At least it doesn't show up as an alternative in the walkthrough, which makes sense considering how late into her first questline her first sex scene is

He kinda already has, on account of this page saying "no NTR or sharing" just a little further up.

I've been playing hours a day for the past week and a half and I'm still not done. Suffice it to say, yes, it's VERY long. Worth the time so far though, it's a shockingly engaging read all things considered.

Was it the same version as the current one on here? cause if there's a discrepancy then I would guess that's the main problem, in which case I suggest just starting a new save file.

The walkthrough explains that some of the storylines will not get any closure and that some scenes will be missed out on if you don't finish them prior to going to the mall. If you're worried about not getting them on time, then don't worry; you will essentially be given a Groundhog's day loop on the day the mall becomes available, letting you take as long as you want to finish up the storylines and see them through to the end. The biggest loss you could have is missing out on skill and power points that are necessary for certain story branches later on.

Had more or less your exact experience myself actually, as I played NLT's previous game, Lust Epidemic, for my first one. And I agree; most AVN's on here are utter garbage on all counts quality-wise, and even the pretty well-written ones are usually ruined for me by how ugly they are to look at.

With all this in mind, I really cannot recommend Eternum enough; not in spite of any theoretical lack of quality in any department you mentioned, but specifically because of how much better it does all of the above mentioned things. It's the sort of thing you get so engrossed in you suddenly notice a sunrise coming through your window, and then stare in disbelief at how in the world a fuckin porn game of all things made you lose track of time with its quality, as well as why in the world anyone talented enough to make something like this would dedicate their skills to porn of all things. But there it is. Existing in spite of that.

So yeah, even if you feel like lack of voice acting might be a deal breaker for you, I would still highly recommend just trying this one. It's worth noting for the sake of honesty that this is a classical example of a mystery game whose more serious and technical writing merits only really start to shine in later chapters, and as such relies on you liking its cast and tone to keep you invested for the first several chapters (neither of which are hard to like, granted)

Cheers, hope you try it and enjoy it!

Closing in on 10 months now, definitely the longest an update's ever taken. Judging by the track record, it's probably a sign that they're making even more outlandish scenarios with lots of high quality animations and such, since the quantity of these has been increasing in tandem with the amount of time each update takes.

Yes to all the sound stuff, but no vocalizations or voice acting or the sort. Would still highly recommend; this is undoubtedly the most well written and well presented adult visual novel out there as far as I'm aware, and as I mentioned it does have sound effects, both environmental and erotic (just not any vocalizations). Seriously, you'd be missing out on one of the best experiences on this whole website if you decided to skip this one, so I really recommend it

 What does AE mean?

I think Siren has said somewhere that he (I think?) plans to let you buy the game on Itch whenever it's completed, which will probably be sometime next year if I had to guess (he's said before that the game should be finished by the end of this year, but that was a while ago, and with some of the update delays in mind I would guess we're gonna see the full game sometime next year instead)

If last update was any indication, then Luna and Penelope are very likely to recieve scenes, since they didn't get any action last go around, and Calypso who is almost definitely a major focus of next update and who also hasn't gotten a scene in a few updates. So the 3 of them are probable, and last I checked we're getting 4 scenes total, which would imply at least one more girl getting a scene.

There are branching story paths, mostly involving whether to date the love interests or not, but not exclusively romance stuff. There's also some sections of the game that are sandbox/puzzle-esque as well. Nothing too huge though, don't expect The Witcher 2 levels of variance.

Probably not, the dev has gone quiet for months only to suddenly resurface and drop a new version several times before, so this is nothing new. Odd that he hasn't set up a new discord server though (at least to my knowledge he hasn't)

Thanks

What the hell is NTI?

Each version becomes publicly available once a new version comes to take its place behind the paywall. In other words, once v15 is finished and released for patrons, then v14 will be released to the public

No, the only difference is the resolution of the images. To my understanding, anyway

Dev said once that this current arc is the second to last major one of the story, so by that count we're probably about 60-70% of the way done?

Granted this was years ago at this point, and with how CoR's development is this might have changed

It's what's currently being worked on by the dev team. Progress on the Discord says they're about 45% done overall with the update, if we average out polish and progress as one number

>although I highly doubt it is going to be better than OiaL

HE DOESN'T KNOW!!!

If you'll look on the announcements and the attached dates, you'll notice this isn't the first time this dev does this; the game's seemingly been dead for a whole year only for an update to suddenly appear out of nowhere. It's actually this exact pattern that's been going for the last several updates now, at least since 0.19. So if three's a pattern, then this is just indication that an update is coming sometime in the next 3-4 months.

Since lots of people are still coming here confused about the project's future, I'll put this out on the dev's behalf since he never bothered posting it here on Itch (I don't know why he didn't, that was a strategic error on his part if you ask me)

This game is essentially on indefinite hiatus right now, owing to the developer receiving a full-time job offer which he announced about one year ago now, in the summer of 2024. In said post, he declared that he'd had a great time working on this but just couldn't financially justify not taking the job, and that he felt there'd be no way for him to keep working full time and also produce Evermore at a pace or quality level he was comfortable releasing.

He also announced, however, that he was planning to continue Evermore eventually, but in another medium (probably just text only format) this time, rather than visual novel. That's what the latest announcement, from September 2024, is about. Hope anyone revisiting this page, or visiting for the first time, who are confused about what's going on here, finds this helpful.

P.S. I'm not associated with the dev or anything, I was just passing through and figured some people might wanna know this stuff so I decided to throw this out there on my own, don't expect any more answers or details about this from me

Folks on the Discord server who talk to Akaime (the dev) on the daily are saying her PC is having the fritz, and that she's also sick right now. So there seems to be an unannounced delay, essentially

It's got some scenes that need you to make the correct decision in order for them to be unlocked, but the narrative is more or less linear, yes. If you're having doubts about continuing and you're close to the start, I'd recommend sticking with it for a little while and seeing if it grows on you, it kind of changes atmosphere quite a bit after the first little arc.
