ALL PRAISE THE MASTER!

... don't ask.

Hi!

Pretty nice gameplay and the visuals are grat as well.
You achieved your goal of a foddian game, I would say.

Also: HOW did you make this in scratch?!

Great job!

are those purple dots wanted or just some tool for physics operations?

(1 edit)

Omg, I finally did it!
Great game, am always amazed what people can do in 3d.  The lighting and everything else looks really nice.
I enjoyed the story very much too. Generally after figuring out the jumping, you were right in saying that the levels would fly by.

I hate u for the horror aspects and the JUMPSCARE. T-T
(can't handle that in the night)

Overall really great job!

  • I think one of my problems was that I pressed W while jumping to reach the next platform and when landing would just run off the thing (maybe you could add more friction?) - but that could also just be me beeing bad.

All the screenshot look great and i can tell you put a lot of effort into this.it's just...
I can even get past level 1! I'm just that bad T-T

Will give more feedback once i get further... hopefull ;P

Hi!

Not really a dialogue guy but enjoyed it. (which is why i maybe felt the gameplay to be a bit slow)

Find the concept really interesting - of creating your character based on characteristics rather than appearance - and the effect of it is well executed in your game.

I'd say this mechanic is fairly unconventional.

Great job!

How? This is so good.

Don't know why, but i was expecting a chill little platformer and a few levels. But oh boy did i realise at level 3 or so, how wrong i was...

Very coherent, had a lot of fun.

Would have liked a spider too XD but ill accept the robots for now - they and the rest of the game look great!

Overall a great job!

I think this has a lot of potential and fits the unconventional part of the jam really well.

As you said yourself the game is a bit lacking in what the player can do.

I agree, some of that is missing. However I'd love this to be more like a simulation the player can affect instead of control. (But that is up to you ofc).

Big, big fan of the visuals and love how there randomly is a tick-tack-toe in the war simulation!  T-T

Great job!

Very nice & simple game.

Love myself some nice backstory to a game and although the gameplay was as i said rather simple, it was still quite fun.

That guy really is a hero. (an unlikely one would still be up for discussion)

Great job!

  • found a bug where an enemy soldier would get stuck on the left of the trench without deducing points and then eventually others would pile up behind him, and form a line across the whole screen, which would effectively make me invincible :P

This is great!

Love the relativly simple gameplay and visuals. This game is extremly polished. I am amazed how you were able to do this in a week.

Allthough I did not really know what i was doing when playing to be honest.

Which is my own fault of course XD

Keep it up!

Hi!

I am so impressed.

There is so much to explore. Had a lot of fun scurraging through the world and exploring it! The vibe and music are very fitting and the game looks great. Not to mention how MUCH there is of everything (how? ).

Great job!

just curious: what did you make this with?

Very happy to hear.

Would have liked to add some more levels but was short on time.

I feared that it would be a bit slow paced though.

Hello!
Had a fun time on this. Would love some feedback.
If you have questions just ask. But most should be explained ingame.

I want to say, that the music is not made by myself. But most of the soundeffects are.
Everything else is selfmade.

Have a grat day!

Congrats on first place! You deserve it very much. Have fun with the asset pack XD

* Also a job well done to everyone else!

XD didn't even read this and used it by accident. Does it deal a lot of damage or why?

Well, you did a great job with the game mechanics. I liked the movement although i felt like the dashes were a bit weird to press while moving. Totally agree about the crafting. Had thought of doing something like that myself but no, not the time nor patience. Props to you for doing the whole thing! Loved

Im probbably just stupid but it spawned me in a room and i didnt know how to get out... Sorry.

Here's some stuff i added after some feedback ( which doesn't count for the jam anymore but feel free to check it out anyways) also is browser compatible nowhttps://codingbear.itch.io/dumpsterdiver-20

Idk why but I played this and afterwards got reccomended this video...

Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

Really had a lot of fun! I enjoyed the movement in combination with the airborn and combo attacks although I sometimes got stuck on the stairs. I'd have liked some more feedback on hits but in general liked the weapon system a lot. I'm a big fan of darker settings and this game fits that role perfectly. Appreciate the bits of story too!

*I think ( but I am not sure ) that I didn't take any damage from the enemies*

Loved the whole concept of building your own robot!

But I felt like there was always only sort of one solution that worked for each level - then again maybe I just haven't played far enough yet ;). Can tell that you put in a lot of effort and am really impressed with what you were able to get done in only two weeks.

I totally agree with I_AM_STUPID. Had fun fighting the little goblins, although I felt a bit overwhelmed at times due to not knowing how to avoid their attacks. Still very nice gameplay (although i only got to around 170points as well ;P).

Great game, especially for your first game jam. Keep it up!

*I noticed that the points counter still increases after death (not sure why)*

Alright, thanks a lot! Will look into the level progression. And don't worry. I just haven't added the audio... -_-

Sorry in advance. Wanted to implement a proper tutorial for the controls and everything. But didn't work out in the end (due to time and other issues).

WASD to move

Left click to attack in direction of mouse cursor

E to interact

Esc to return to menu

Still I'd love some feedback!
