Thanks for playing the whole thing! Going through every system and prestiging is super helpful for me, so I really appreciate you writing all this. And I'm happy you had fun and liked the Dyson Sphere and megastructures.

Your three points are all fair. Good news: I'm already fixing them.

1. Just mining iron and rushing the sun. You're right, this is the biggest problem. In the next update, iron is not the main currency anymore. Every system now has its own currency. And the escape mineral only comes from that system's star. So you can't save it up early or rush the sun. You have to unlock the last body now.

2. Everything is too cheap to buy. Agreed. Right now there's no real scarcity. A big balance pass on prices and how fast you get materials is next on my list. I also hid the market for now, because turning everything into iron made this worse. I want you to actually choose what to buy.

3. No tutorial. Yeah, my bad. A tutorial is planned. It will explain things like the Dyson Sphere and megastructures early, so you know what they do before the end — not after you beat the game.

Thanks again, this really helps. So glad you enjoyed it. More coming!

Thanks!

Solar System Mining is a space-themed incremental game where every celestial body becomes its own production puzzle. Start on Earth, unlock planets and moons, improve your tools, deploy auto-miners, and push deeper through the tech tree as your small mining operation grows into a network of automated extraction hubs.

What begins as simple hands-on mining gradually opens into system-wide logistics, prestige progression, late-game infrastructure, and long-term expansion beyond the Solar System.

The game is still in active development, so feedback on pacing, balance, progression, and overall feel is very welcome.

You’re very welcome! There’ll be even more components coming soon, so stay tuned!

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback!

You made some very fair points, especially about prestige, the market balance, and some systems losing their purpose later in the game. The game is still very much in progress, and we’ll be working on these areas to improve the balance, fix the broken parts, and make progression feel more meaningful.

We really appreciate you taking the time to write this up!

Great feedback, thank you!

The next update tackles exactly this. There's now a PREV / NEXT body switcher pinned to the bottom of the screen that steps the camera through every planet and moon and opens its panel, so you never have to click a moving target to get back to a body, with an "Unlocked only" filter to jump straight between the ones you own. I also added a Planet Speed option (100% / 50% / 33%) to slow the orbits right down, and deselecting a body no longer zooms you all the way out. Should feel a lot more like an idle game and a lot less like whack-a-mole.

Thanks :)

Thanks, both fixed! Mine is now the biggest button and sits right at the top of the panel (above the auto-miner), so it's the first thing you see. And the opening tutorial now says "Click on Earth" instead of the generic prompt.

Really appreciate the clear feedback! Thank you!

Yes, you are right but it's early in development. Grapghics are temporarly, I could use ChatGPT to generate something better but I decided they should be simple for now and I will replace them with final ones when te core game loop will be finalized.

It's fixed in new version!

I can put it as an example in the source code, it will require couple of components organized together, good idea! Worth to mention scope is not closed and I plan to make it the ultimate component library on itch.io! :)

On artifact list choose one, click and on right side you should have mount option, after clicking it you will need to choose planet/moon

Sorry to hear that, I will check resource progression and fix it soon!

Thank you! I hope you enjoyed playing the game!

Thanks so much for playing, and for the thoughtful feedback. I'm really glad you had fun with the game.

I really appreciate you pointing out the glitches and the crashes. That’s all very helpful feedback. The game is still in development and actively evolving, so reports like this really help us improve it, and we’ll definitely keep working on fixing these issues.

And yes, that’s very fair feedback about the late-game progression and the lack of a clear ending. The reincarnation-style loop and overall structure are still being developed, so it’s very useful to hear how that felt.

Thanks again for taking the time to write this up.

You don't like it? No, it didn't uploaded it for me. I'm not a good writer and english is not my primary language so I use tools to help myself. This project is just a quick hightlight of my other project and it's also free to test/play. Next time I will spent more time working on a description!

Thanks for sharing your opinion!

Hi SUPER-TRON,

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback — really appreciate you taking the time to write this up! Your notes are spot on and we'll be working on them.

We also have a new update coming soon with additional components, so stay tuned!

Thanks again for the support.

Good Job! Looks really nice!

Awesome, small, addicting game! Good job mate!

Hi, thanks for comment, snake moves in intervals every .3 sec so not immediately after key press, so last registered key before move event will be new direction, not the first one.

Greate Game, wondefull pixel art

Hi, thanks for sugestions, currently i'am working on new version.

Assets are from https://github.com/sparklinlabs/superpowers-asset-packs.

Nice, i watched the tutorial from @AngegaStudios, try to change something, not only copying. Maybe you can include him in credentials also...

I've used version 2.1.3, packed exported game (export as HTML) as zip than uploaded on itch as html5 version.

(1 edit)

I'll check it, thanks! On what system / browser did you see error?

Thx! New version is on the way, added lots of stuff. Shake will be an option :).

Looks rly nice, you did a lot of work preparing content ir its all generated randomly?

Great idea!
