Thank you! I can look into that, yet I feel like if you have a DnB song, it's going to be too much, still, could be something to look into.

Thank you so much!

So glad to hear that, thank you!

Thank you!

Thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked the game! And I will see what I can do about that bug, thanks for the feedback!

EDIT: Fixed the bug - I'm going to keep the speed as is, because it works best with the music, which adds to the overall experience

Thanks a lot!

Thank you!

Thank you, really glad you liked it!

Thanks for the reply, that does help me out and I will see what I can do!

Thanks a lot!

I have to ask though: did you manage to get to the end or was it too hard?

Thank you, so glad you liked it!

On a side note: did you manage to get to the end or was it too hard?

Thank you!

A very personal and touching concept, brought in an original way and executed superbly.

Well done, Joran!

My artistic statement:

Hello, I'm Thomas Boone, I am a soon to be graduate student, finishing up Digital Arts & Entertainment (DAE) at Howest (Belgium).

For this game jam, I created a little typing game dedicated to my uncle, who passed away 14 years ago. Before his passing, I was a carefree child and after it, I was transformed into this curious teenager, trying to discover his own way through early adulthood.

He was a hard-working man who really took care of his family. He made me realize that life is too short to fool around, yet also too short to keep working yourself into the ground. What remains, is a need for balance. That is the biggest lesson I've learned from him.

Around the time he passed away I started writing and enjoying poetry. It's been a long time since I've gotten a verse out of my fingers and with this jam, dedicated to those who inspire us the most, I was more than willing to give it a try again, to pay tribute to my first hidden hero.

So yes, thank you for organizing this jam!

And we love that you played our game, thank you!

Thank you for playing, we're glad you liked it!

Thank you, happy to hear you enjoyed it!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Nice to hear you liked the game, the feedback will be taken to heart! <3

Glad you liked it!

Glad you liked it, thanks for the feedback!

Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback!

We appreciate the feedback!

Some explanation: the more letters you collect, the heavier the damage dealt to the boss will be (reward), but you will indeed have less space to avoid the incoming obstacles (risk) - you as a player can decide for yourself how many letters you collect before attacking, you determine the risk-reward balance

I'm glad that you liked it and I appreciate your feedback!

Thank you for reading and for your feedback, I'll definitely take it into consideration!

Great to hear your feedback, it really helps me out!

I'm glad you liked it and I'm grateful for the feedback!

Many thanks!

Thank you for giving my game a try, I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks for playing! I'll be sure to make it better than okay and alright next time around.

Thanks for covering my game on the stream.

I know it's a short one, but I preferred one level the way I wanted it to be instead of five levels that didn't feel like much.

I agree, I shall make it more clear next time around, either way: thanks for playing!

First of all, thanks for the compliment and the helpful feedback!

Second of all, I've fixed the mentioned bugs.

Last of all, I appreciate you telling me you would give it a chance, given enough content and polish, thanks!

Thank you, glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Did you read the description I gave to the game, where the controls are mentioned?

I didn't have enough time to implement them into the game.
