I don't know how much adherence to the theme this game get, but man the game feel amazing. The artstyle, audio choice, and the quirky animation make the game a good fun to play.
One minor issue is that each "dude" types is not clearly explain (maybe that is intentional), and I don't really know why my ninja dies so fast.
Felt like the looping mechanism was an after thought instead of the main attraction. The artstyle is very good, I love these very cartoonish style, and the sound was matching it too. It just need more thought onto the level design. The level where the falling platform was not very clear when you consider the looping mechanism in.
Overall I would give it good on execution as a platforming game, but the theme was not explored enough.
This is one of the most interesting concept that nails on all criteria. I think the game is less about dodging your self, and more about map awareness, understanding where all of your previous 'you' are to kill all of them in the time limit. And the game get progressively harder as the number of copies goes up too, as you really have to scour all the map to find the target, and if one of your previous self hide too well, that might be also a challenge for future loops. I thought that the bullet should have kill you, but it don't, and it serve as a way to find your previous self too.
Tiny feedback is that the camera really stings, especially when it clips in to very small crevices and make me disoriented where am I.
Man I have so much to talk about this game. GREAT FRICKING JOB.
Very reminiscence of once popular (or it still it, I haven't check) Slither.io. The control is very responsive too, and the gameplay loop is very straightforward. One small feedback I wanna give is that if you can kill enemy by linking on any part (or just the few end bits) of your body will make it less on precision and lean more on reaction speed.
Very cool game!
This game is dope as hell. The snake mechanism is so genius, you should make the entire game about it tbh. It is hard to get a hold on due to the fact that the train is so fast, I can't quickly remove piece from the back of the track and place it (skill issues), but overall, super innovative idea. I dig the artstyle and audio as well.
Very interesting and creative idea. Trying to get the Platinum is difficult if you don't know how the exact system works, but it really does make you need to think and experiment with different points placement. The fact that you develop this game alone in MonoGame is amazing (Unity pleb like me have hard time developing in frameworks). The artwork is also amazing as well, minimalistic, but a good choice for the game.
The performance does tanks on level 3. Overall amazing game!
A simple platforming game that I would say really throw me back to the old Mario times. I would say the concept is not fully explored in this game, as you could make the level for all ability stack on eachother, and with each ability change you still traverse in the same environment, and plan out your next route for each ability. Cool idea!
There is a lot of potential and some cool ideas in this game, with the execution of the looping mechanism really well done. It would took a lot of time to figure out the way to cross the entire group of level.
Missed opportunity to not make the level telegraph with the music, and potential to make some brain-busting level all while jamming to the catchy tunes. At this point I will probably look at any games and tell people to make it a rhythm-based game (already did it to one game from this jam). Gave 5 star for the choice of music because the music really fit and really made the game "pop"
The game is very influenced by recent games like Exit 8 and I'm on Observation Duty (your wife has good taste, I will give you that). The narrative is very well done, and choices of assets are very fitting to it, really nailed that unsettling environment. Will say the gameplay has some places to improve, after level 1 you only really go to red door. Add some more scripted moment and you will get some spooked players.
The collision in this game is kinda finnicky, so I got stuck in some places.
Bro if this game doesn't get featured on GMTK videos, it is injustice. This game is so amazingly design with all the CRT artwork and color usage, and the level are so creatively thought out. The "Loop" theme was also very well integrated and that GLOSS level really made me go "aha, I understand". Nice puzzle game, very well rounded package you have here.
Catchy tunes, responsive driving is the highlight of this game. It has some potential if you have time to include some more unique mechanic to the game (maybe some kind of scripted barrel rolls). Otherwise it will get repetitive after some time. Concept have a lot of potential too! Could add some effects (sound and visual) when you crashed or died, and do some kind of highscore system. That would make it more complete.
I really love first person exploration game so this game is very cool for me. The looping nature of the floors mean that it can open up a lot of potential. Sadly I got a bit dizzy with how the player controller works, the high sensitivity, and constant camera glitching did keep my enjoyment down a bit. The artstyle is a plus tho. Intentionally bad is good :)))
