Hi everyone! I just released Forward Edge, a free browser auto battler about modern company-level combat.

▶ Play it here: https://therealfitzy.itch.io/forward-edge

What it is

Each round you buy units from a deck you built, place them on the map, set them to Advance or Hold, and press Fight. Then the battle plays out on its own. Infantry bound between tree lines, tanks hold at standoff range, ATGM teams ambush from the woods, and drones and jammers fight it out overhead. Your surviving units damage the enemy's HP, and your army comes back each round for you to build on.

Features

- 38 cards of real equipment: Abrams vs T-90M, Javelin vs Kornet, HIMARS vs Tornado-S, FPV drone teams, A-10s, and elite units like Delta Force, the Rangers, Spetsnaz and USAF Pararescue

- Cards only one side gets: AC-130J and Little Bird for the US; BMPT Terminator, TOS-1A and the Orion drone for Russia

- Three doctrines that change how each side plays: Armored, Airborne and Special Operations

- Four battlefields and changing weather, with night fights where thermal sights matter

- Units rearm at supply trucks, medics treat the wounded, and air defense shoots down jets and drones

It's an early prototype, so I'd really like feedback. Which units feel too strong or useless? Are the fights fun to watch? It runs in any browser, desktop or phone.

Made with help from Claude (AI) for the code and text.

Thanks for checking it out!
