Hey! I played it again with the download on my stream on twitch! Very fun game. I did almost everything, including avoiding the chasing robot, but I couldn't figure out how to get oil so I talked to a guard and the screen went and stayed black. Looking forward to more!

Check out tutorials by Thomas Brush and David Whele. They have Game Development courses that teach you how to get publishers, get kickstarter, market and put on steam. The courses are kind of pricey though, but maybe you can find some gems on their youTube channels.

I can't rate it because I didn't submit a game to the jam

Hello! I downloaded the game but it didn't load anything. The music is chill, but it might need some optimization. Give it another shot! I believe in you.

Hey! Nice and fun. I really would like to see this fleshed out. Some sound design and music and vfx would really make this game pop! I can see Bejeweled and Casual Gamers liking this. Oh, and potentially change the color of each food item to a unique one, because seeing the same color but not the same item makes it stressful in a way. Good job and keep it up.

Hey! Not bad. It needs some work but there are good bones to the overworld and I really dig the dedication to the game's music and features. The binary: 23, 17, 10? Is that right?

I couldn't really find how to do anything and the game needs some more work, but I definitely perceive where it could go. Good job and don't stop.

Hey! So, the game never loaded past the intro dialogue for me. And while they were talking there was nothing on the screen. I think this would fair better as a downloadable instead of a browser type. Unless you can optimize it for browser. The music was jamming, and I really feel like (based on the screenshots) this would be a fun and beautiful game, especially for 1 month.

This was a crazy good game to make in a month! The puzzles! The art! The physics! I don't even know which thing you are the best at cause it is all good. Good job and try to make this a complete game on Steam, you will go far.

Hey. Nice game (especially for 1 month). I got a little confused as I didn't see the controls until after I played and saw your comment below. I love the music and atmosphere, definitely expecting a jump scare. Some things took me a while to understand but I eventually did. Got stuck in the guardian level but it was fun nonetheless. Good job and keep going.

I really like the environment. The controls are pretty tough to use and I didn't know what my objective was. I really liked the sounds of the forest area, it gave a nice ambience. What engine did you make this in? I didn't see a splash screen so I'm guessing either Godot or something else? Good job and don't quit.

thanks!

thank you! And I'll take that into consideration for updates and new games!

Cool! That is great to hear! I'm planning on adding more levels, but we'll see (game dev woes)

Great! I'm glad you liked it!

Hey that's good input! Now that I think of it, I should've strayed from the tutorial to make powerups. I made a space shooter in Unity many years ago when I was first starting off with game engine development, and it had a triple shot, speed boost and shield powerup! Maybe I can try with this if I can confidently make it!

Hey thank you!

Thank you. I didn't realize there wasn't one...

(1 edit)

I made a game and released it on Steam in February 2023. It's called Lockes The Thief. It took 2 years to create. A month after releasing it, I started planning Lockes 2. After dancing around 2 versions, I finally settled on a stylized action adventure game. The demo is available now on itch. I'm hoping to get some honest feedback so I can approach the full version with perfessionalism. So tell me what you think! I can take it. Thanks!

Oh, here's the think: https://padlockestech.itch.io/lockes-2-demo

Hey and just so you know, it is going to be on a bundle pretty soon so it will be on a discount eventually.

This was really fun! It was simple at first but it built up so nice. The controlling feels smooth too. Great game. Would like to see more of it in the future! Good work!

Fun! My girlfriend really enjoyed this (she loves city builder games) and it is great to hear you plan on making more. I wasn't sure about how it connected to the theme, but the mecahnics are amazing and the music and art are quite good for two days. Can't wait for the full version.

The art, music and theme were very good on this game. The mechanics were difficult though. I hit the enemy multiple times cause he looked threatening; then realized I needed to talk to him. After talking he just died. Also there were a few typos. The story definitely pulls at your heart strings. Very touching.

Really enjoyed this game. Just don't understand how the duration works....

lol. Thanks! I wish I got more completed, but one small step am I right?

Oh wow that was fun. It gave me braid vibes. I love playing platformers that make me think about what I'm doing. Teasing the brain and all

This is really good for 2 days! The music, art and mechanics are top notch. I don't completely see a connection to the theme though (but mine wasn't that in your face either). Overall very well put together!

You got so much done with such a little amount of time. Even though the mechanics weren't perfect, they were pretty amazing for a 2 day game. I would love to see this fleshed out some more!

Good points. And it makes sense, too!

I'm thinking I would have to uninstall the plug in for VR when packaging the game. I think. lol, don't completely know :D

Oh darn. I wonder why it did that. This is technically my first real game submission xD

I'm downloading it now and I will fill the survey when I'm done

Nicely done. Though I am 4 years a little too late

Nice work. I'm a fan of Zelda games, so this was nice to play.
