Fun idea! If the charge for when you can place checkpoints was a bit faster it would probably play a bit better. Now you just have to stand around until you can place a checkpoint.
Very nice rewind mechanic and a nice, simplistic art style! The parasite mechanic was interesting, but ultimately didn't add all that much to the game.
Nicely done for a first game. Overall nice theme, but the glitchiness and inconsistency of the jumping makes it much harder to get through than necessary.
