ty for playing :D:D:D:D Im glad you like the thumbnail, lowkey i had recently gotten some gauche so I was just testing out the medium and decided to use the result as a thumbnail haha. But yea you are right i did not even get remotely close to da "vision", there is much to learn..... I think i was messing around with sin + velocity and never got rid of it which is my bad lmaooo. Actually it was defineetlyyy intentionall yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa definetltttttttttttlyyy.................. nah
You guys seriously went all out with the aesthetic of this game, really pretty . I really like the bubbly clouds very nice. The controls feel nice, tho Im not sure if the wasd is really necesary since you alreayd got the mouse to look around + they conflict with one another if you use them in tandem. Not really an issue tho since I just ended up not using the wasd at all. The platforming sections feel smooth for the majority of the game sometimes my character would kindof spazz out whenever there was a slope while trying to accelerate. The most unintuitive parts id say were the vertical drops to gain momentum those were like MEGA hard to do with the minimalist controls. I really like how a lot of the areas were linked together in a way where you could kinda traverse back and forth once you got new abilities.

I mess with character model, the run cycle with the hoof sound effects and the way it makes the model move is very cute. The game movement played nice! I think at most it just needs polish as the dash and the "super jump" anticipation animation could be pushed + you might wanna play with the EQ and reverb with the sounds so that they dont feel like its playing in a small room. But as mentioned before thats just like polish stuff, the game feels good.
I liked the level design, especially the area where you get to see everything while climbing the tower, that was cool. Some areas were not the most intuitive and a little unforgiving like the ending area and lowkey i kindof abused the wall jump + dash to cheese it but majority of the areas were fun to go through.
Great game, at first glance I was like damn is Moni rocking the sybil fit but I think I was just fooled by the color pallete lol

Im glad you liked Minimami! She was a little confusing to rig cuz segmented joints but im glad the vibe of her character worked :D
Great game I like the gun effects, it feels really nice. I wish there was a little option to heal since theres not that many save points. Its fun to figure out that you can shoot people off screen without them noticing you. I like the controls the only thing id change is the down platform idk if its because of terraria but holding down would be nice to just go down platforms.

I liked the psuedoregalia suit reference very nice. Lowkey the start of the game was like spazzing and bugging out like my screen was actually blitzing on itself and my character seemed to be stuck in this box. The game also crashed when this inferno tower typa silhouette enemy shot at me.
The animations were pretty varried, the jester animation the jingle sounds were very cute i think the run cycle on the character was cool but the actual movement was very slow so it felt a teeny bit awkward. I reall y liked how you use the gun to break walls that was pretty powerful.
Powerful work, i like the aesthetic of the world. :D
I uh feel you on the pain of coding the camera and powerups i pretty much also spent the entirety on the jam trying to figure that stuff out lmao.
Also I did play the first game on ur page, immediately after finished this one actually. Crazy vibes on that joint. I did quite enjoy that one gun sequence hehe

I really love the controls, its pretty finicky to learn and i was frustrated since once i kinda got a good feel for it the game ended and i wanted moreeeeeee. Really fun. The zoom in after receiving the weapon and the comically loud and rapid shooting was very powerful. The wall ledge grab and death animation are very cute.
Having everything in one screen is a really cool take on the minimalist theme but i do think the scope of the game needed to be just little bigger to have that metroidvania vibe. Maybe like the map gets smaller and smaller to fit the new areas you unlocked, basically what you did but on a larger scale. But thats like to keep it more on metroidvania side the game is very fun.

(happy eyes for the win :)) Also ty for the feedback i agree the all white definetly couldve use accent colors for that beautiful contrast and there was just so many missing final touch elements like the sound and the kill plane... for sure next time ill have these figured out :))
There was a decent amount of mood boarding done for the lore just so that i could have a easier time creating a visual aesthetic as well as a narrative that matched the theme but mann the scope of it all was just too much for my inexperienced ahh. Perhaps in the future ill try to realize this project,..
