not necessarily a glitch, but rather that a lot of the models for items have been updated between versions. Whenever transferring items from an old save on an old version, there's a button in the settings something akin to "mailbox fix" or something like that that will update all the models of everything currently in your mailbox.

all of these things are well known and documented and will be fixed in the upcoming build
