Hello! You can turn on a setting in the latest version that will cause the background to fill the screen. I did also change the two fonts you mentioned to similar but improved versions, I hope you like them, please let me know!

Hi sorry about this, I’ve figured out the issue and will release a fix asap. In the meantime, the app should work offline if you turn off your internet. It happened because I changed my itchio username, so the version check is failing in a way I didn’t expect.

NOTICE: ​Please update to the latest version if you are experiencing a crash upon starting the program, an issue with changing my itchio username and the code checking the latest version has been fixed

Hello! I'm sorry you are having issues with the program. Please try this:

1. Navigate to the StimuWrite user data folder in your computer

Windows: %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\StimuWrite\
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/StimuWrite/
Linux:  ~/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/StimuWrite/

2. Delete the file stimuwrite.cfg and the addons folder (if there is one )

3. Start StimuWrite

Ah, sorry I just saw this. Which file/theme are you trying to load? That error message means that StimuWrite can't recognize it as a theme or addon and something is wrong with it.

Hi Morb! You have to install it through the StimuWrite app, it won't work automatically with the itchio app. Make sure the base StimuWrite app is already installed and then follow the instructions below:

To Install:

    Download the theme pack into your file system (you may have to log into the itch.io website instead of the app to download)

    In StimuWrite version 2 and above, click the "Options" link button at the bottom of the writing panel next to "About"

    Select "Install Themes & Add-ons"

    Click "Install Theme or Add-on" button and select the theme file in your file folder

    That's it! Your new themes will appear in the Theme dropdown

To delete the theme pack after installation: If you are uninstalling StimuWrite and want to make sure the themes are removed from your computer, make sure to go to Options > Advanced Settings > Delete All. This will delete all StimuWrite content from your harddrive.

Hi Alex! Unfortunately, I don't believe there is at this time. However, StimuWrite is meant for drafting instead of editing so you could use Grammarly in whatever word processor you export your text into.
