Accidental blurring turned out to be a clever implementation of the feeling of rippling water without using a special shader 😋
After completing the adventure, the game continues so that people can discover all the rooms and collect the remaining pearls if something was missed (current progress can be viewed by pressing the Tab key). Or just have fun running and swimming around.
