Thank you! My dedication to simple game dev is immense XD. Most game jams problably wouldn't allow me to publish a game that I already made so I wished I would've kept this idea on the side until I found the right jam.

Thanks! This would've been an awesome game jam submission since I finished this in like 2 days. I regret not doing that now, thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Good idea! I'll see if I can add that if I ever come back to this again XD

Hello!

I also made a game using your tile set for a jam! We transformed your tile set a little bit but your set gave us an awesome start. Thank you!

Thank you! My artist/sound designer is a real talent. I don't know how I could've made ANY games without him XD. I also love your game too! It makes me take pride in GMS 2 seeing a fun point and click puzzle/mystery game with such nice and clean controls/art style!

I made this in a short time because of a team! If it weren't for my artist, only half the game would've been done with half the quality XD. Interesting critique, no one has said that yet and now I notice it. I'll have to make that change after the jam, thanks for telling me!

I'm really impressed by the visuals of this game! It has the quality of a game that would cost money and I enjoyed the experience a lot! And so far, this game is incredibly underrated!

I like the concept of the game but the controls were just a little off for me. I think it would've benefited from less sliding as I felt so not in control. I do love the ninja frog though, it was a nice touch!

This is a nice simple game! I really like the simplistic art style, its very clean! This would've benefited from sound though, keep it up!

Everything about this is good! The art is really nice and the feel of the movement is really good. I just wish there was a bullet when you shoot so I can see where I am shooting better. Keep it up!

Oh that's what that was XD. If it was stated in the menu, then when I first played, I accidentally skipped on that. That was my fault as  player I. Maybe that's what tutorials are for, players like me who love to skip sometimes lol.

I love this short game! Its just that its missing some elements like sound and a remove lantern button. But given this short time, I understand the struggle. But overall, this has awesome potential to be a great game (given the proper amount of time).

I loved the story or lore behind this game! It felt really nice to play but the controls were just a little not good for me. It's not that they felt bad but that this game would've been awesome if you could use mouse and keyboard. But you couldn't for this jam so there's not really much you could do with the little inputs you have ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

This is a really fun and dark interpretation of this theme and I LOVE it. My only issue is that maybe you should click to get items, I often accidentally picked up items I didn't want. Other than that, everything felt nice and the concept was really clever.

Keep working on it! GMS 2 is a really simple engine and you are getting the basics down awesomely. My first games used to look like this and now they are professional looking. In no time, you'll be making awesome games!

Very goofy and funny game. The overall feel felt a little slow but the humorous gameplay feel a little more alive. Great job!

I like the idea a lot! It just that the controls feel a little janky like the tongue isn't smoothly animated or landing on lily pads often push you forward a little.  But I still like the concept of this game however and the random colored frogs  you have every time you spawn!

This game is incredibly peaceful like it says! It has awesome potential to be a nice building game and was amazing for the jam. Overall, I just loved this interpretation of the theme!

I would send a photo but I don't think its allowed here. I'll try to do it on the page!

That's so real. I often question how my game is hard to some people but I, as the game dev, literally have the knowledge of the game from the ground up. All it took was to watch gameplay of a clueless beta tester (who also to happen to rarely play video games) for me to make changes so that majority people could understand it!

This game takes incredible skill to complete! This game had awesome ideas and interpretations but it was just way too fast for me. It might be a skill issue but just toning down the speed would've made my life a LOT easier XD.

Ah I see. I won't give a rating then so I don't hurt your ranking since others might be able to still play it. They should have a say in the ranking rather than me who can't play it! Just from the thumbnail, I bet this would've been an interesting game!

This game was really fun! I love the art style and the feel of the gameplay! I wonder though, what was the reasoning of the jumping vertical only decision? For games on this jam that made a similar game, you could use you mouse to change the direction of the jump. Why did you guys decide to only do vertical?

So this is where all the levels for your other submission went! I'd say it might've paid off as this game is incredible for this type of genre! The art/animations are really clean, the controls/transitions between lily pads are really nice, and the text UI and its respective animation is really well executed! But yeah, I'd feel this kind of game would be common for this jam

Everything about it was amazing! Except there wasn't more. But in all seriousness, more levels would've make this an awesome submission! And also, if you'd made just a couple more levels, I'd been a proud GMS 2 user for seeing this submission! Keep up the great work!

I like the simplicity and execution of the concept of your game! I'd just say make the tongue faster and the AI of the bugs more smart. I died many times because the flies would never come to me which I found really annoying T-T. But other than that, overall this game was nice. Good job!

This game has a really nice interpretation of the theme! I really enjoyed the idea and the puzzles of the levels as I played them. I'd say it only needs a couple of quality life changes like having the buttons on the right side highlighted when activated, a small cooldown for switching between the buttons, etc. I liked the game overall!

I thought the big fly was supposed to be golden T-T. I think this game has awesome speed run potential! Everything from the art style, level design, and the swing mechanics all feel great! I will say, you might need to improve the jump mechanic as it feels really slow. A lot of time of the game for me was waiting for it to charge. But I love the game execution nonetheless!

For being made in 3 hours, I really enjoyed it! I really appreciate that the controls at least feel nice and user friendly. I myself also know how it feels to lose progress, I once lost a 3 month project because I didn't use any source control. That singular moment taught me that maybe I should use it, but man it must've be tough when you had that moment too. Your dungeon crawler game would've been a joy to play!

This is definitely one of the top 3d games! It's controls are incredibly well made and the game is so entertaining to play!

I love the concept and the idea of the game but I really couldn't get the swing directions. I think if you had LMB swing left, RMB swing right, and Middle mouse jump, that would've made things way easier for me or the player XD. But other than that, I love the physics and the simplistic art style. Keep working on it!

This game can definitely be an awesome game after the jam! The 3D aspect is awesome but could definitely benefit from a couple of addons though. I'd say first that if the frog is behind something, you should make that block invisible. On level one, I went behind a pillar and I got lost and didn't know the direction my frog was facing for a few seconds. Also, a charge meter would be awesome since there's no indicator at all of how much you have charged. Other than that, the concept and execution is very clever!

I ain't gonna lie, I got kind of lazy with the spike dropper XD. And as for the leaf, I totally agree. If I ever pursue this game outside the jam, I might make more meaningful elements that aren't as filler.

I appreciate the bounciness of the tongue sticking on those trees.  It feels a lot better than a fixed line. It's a very fun and challenging game and after a few tweaks, it'll be an awesome game.

If the controls were a little bit more polished, the bouncing around mechanic would be incredibly addictive! This is a visually stunning game over! I think it might affect the framerate, I noticed it's pretty low.

I simple love this. Goobert be getting into the craziest situations XD. Definitely one of my personal favorites.

Sound effects are awesomely hilarious XD. This game is really fun! I love the different combos you can do with the mouse. This game is probably one of top games where the mouse is heavily involved a lot! It seems like every aspect of the mouse is used to the max and I can have a full experience with just only the mouse! Awesome game.

Yum

I am incredibly impressed with the animation! That and the incredible smoothness of the jumping and transitioning between lily pads are what make this game incredible! This is definitely one the top games amongst this genre!

Amazing puzzle game! The movement between blocks is very nice and animated! The sprites are also minimalistic which I really like! Overall, this has awesome mobile potential and it a great game!
