Hi! You will have to go to this folder:
C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Local\Xeno_Fighters_R\
Then look for the file "xfconfig.ini" and delete it. When you run the game again, the controls will be reset.
We will improve the menu and UI in later updates to the game.

We watched your video, and really enjoyed your playthrough! We are glad you liked the accessibility we gave to the game in the form of unlimited continues!
We overlooked that some people may not be familiar with the game controls, so we made a change to our itch.io page to include the default game controls so new players can see at a glance how to play the game.
We’re not adding any Cave shmup guest fighters to Xeno Fighters R. The way Cave games play is just way too different from what XFR is all about: things like switching shot types, medal systems, and other mechanics that XFR doesn’t use. Trying to squeeze Cave fighters into XFR would mean changing them so much, they wouldn’t really feel like themselves anymore.
So, bottom line: no Dodonpachi or any other Cave fighters in Xeno Fighters R. If you’re looking for a Dodonpachi-style crossover, check out GwangeDash instead.
You can run XFR's Windows build on Steam Deck! This article tells you how to do so: https://team-xf.itch.io/xeno-fighters-r/devlog/802686/musicalminerdudes-steam-de...
1. Castor and Pollux' Slaves are different colored because the Slaves are nearly the same size as the Gemini Wing ships. If they were the same color, people will confuse the Slaves with their own fighter
2. We have other options to make the game easier for the player: changing starting rest lives and bombs, for example.
3. Tarma and Eri will be represented in a second Metal Slug fighter, likely the Slug Flyer jet.
We feel this is now the definitive revision of the new Path Mode scoring system. If anyone feels it could be improved upon, please share your ideas here or in our Discord server: https://discord.com/invite/wUNuhJy
