Amazing idea first of all. I love the chaotic organisation of it.

If I could just give a bit of feedback though, it would be to maybe add a tutorial panel that gets displayed before the game starts as the game loop is a bit hard to figure out at first.

Thank you so much! That really means a lot to me.

I've started multiple projects in the past, but was never able to finish any of them. So I'm really glad to have gotten over that mental block.

Onwards and upwards from here hopefully!

Jeez, even I never managed to get that far haha

I think the question that bugged me the most while developing the game was how do I make it less luck-based and how do I give the player more control over the outcome of their actions. So that's where the idea for the bait and the upgrades came from, though I still feel the system needs more work. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks again for playing though! Really glad that you had a good experience!

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to play through my game and give it a shot.

Also, thank you for the feedback. I made the music myself and also coded almost everything myself too (with a bit of help from AI wherever I got stuck). For the art, the UI that you see was all made by me. I was lucky enough to find a fishing asset pack that perfectly fit my game, so I ended up using that for the player and the objects. The background image is also from an asset pack that I found, but I did edit the image just a bit to make it better fit my game.

I had a lot of ideas for directions to take the game in, and most of the suggestions you gave me were also ideas that I had at some point. I wanted to add some Cutscenes and QoL additions but I unfortunately wasn't able to get them in due to a lack of time and experience. Though I probably will continue to work on the game just so that I can get it to look right, as I do feel like the game is still a bit undercooked and in need of improvements.

Once again, thank you so much, your words mean a lot to me!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad that you enjoyed it!
