Yes, I've always found Conway's Game of Life fascinating, and I was wondering how I could turn it into a game. That’s how the idea of combining it with a block-breaking game came up. I suppose mixing it with a shoot 'em up could work too, as long as there are mechanisms to keep the game from being too easy.

The similarity with the cells is kind of intentional (following the ball among the chaos being a part of the game), but I'm not sure it's a good idea. 😅

I'm curious, did you know Conway's Game of Life before?

It's in the hands of my publisher now, and yes it's a bit late, sorry 😅. I don't have a precise date, but it shouldn't be too long now. I'll make a post here when it's ready.

You're right about moving the camera with L/R, it's actually already implemented in the current version of the game 😀. Ghost view is now mapped to B.
