 Updates 

General overview :

This is the new menu that we have created for our game. This menu features a small level that the player can play around in. There is a giant power-up that increases the car size as well as speed for a certain amount of time, allowing the player to destroy the buildings in the background.


This is the playable build of the game that we have so far.


Art: 

This is the new car design that we have created. The car features two jet engines on the side of the car, a wing at the back and two exhaust ports that extend from the jet engines up into the air.

We have implemented the power-up spawning into the game. At the games start, the power-ups are disrupted throughout the game level randomly at fixed points.

Portal added at end of level

Added freeze timer power-up(the timer freezes for 5 seconds before resuming)

Added boost power-up (speeds up the player for a short duration)

Added destruction power-up, that kills all non-targets and targets in the radius.

Added Giant powerup (increases Car size as well as speed and allows the car to destroy buildings)

Below is the map layout of one of our levels still in the early development stages. We used a variety of historical maps and other games to create this section of the map. We also have taken some creative liberties so that the map will remain fun to play in.

General overview : welcome to our driving through time prototype.  we aim to update our game weekly and would be happy to hear any feedback that you could give. 

Art: 

low poly top hat man, with basic walk animations and texture 

making sketches and ideas for buildings for environment

created a low poly car that we can use for the time being until we come up with a design for the car that we will use in the finished  game

 Finished the front side of a simple building.

Code:

created the pause game script that pauses the game.

 created the boost powerup that when the player hits the powerup the players speed is increased 2 fold for 5 seconds

 created the freeze time power up that freezes time for 5 seconds

 created the score that adds to the player score when the player hits and object

welcome to our game idea 



Our game is a single player adventure driving game. where the player explores the Victorian city of London, player has be trapped in the past. they must escape by collecting time energy from other people lost in time. To collect enough energy to get back to the present!

The player will be driving around in the time traveling car hitting the targets to collect their time energy. While doing this the player must avoid hitting people who are living in the city. Otherwise the police will chase you down, once the player has collected enough time energy a portal will open allowing the player to progress in time. 

we plan to have many levels where the player will be able further explore the busy streets of London and see its iconic landmarks. the world will be a wacky time crazy place with powerups and strange happenings all around. the edges of the level will be a vortex where its been torn apart by the crack in time the player has caused.

we are students studying at TUD( Technological University Dublin) and this game is our project. we are a team of five we hope to make this game reach its full potential. we have two artist, two coders and one designer
