Hello! At the moment its a bit too short to release on Steam. If sales are good here, we will make Episode 2 and then release on Steam

Note for new update 1.3: Some folks are still experiencing the game cutting off. Starting from a fresh save remedies this for now

So if you're starting from a fresh save and already played the story thus far, go to Config > check the Skip Unread Text box. This should allow you to skip the story briskly enough that you can make it to the part you left off at. In the meantime we'll figure things out if older Pre-1.3 save files can still be reused without issues..

Yeah, another player also reported this issue. But since this portion is somewhat near the end of the current story already it might be better for us to release a hotfix for this closer to the next major update!

Hey! We tested it out. So for the Character Skill being stuck, the freezing appears to be caused if you click through the text box too fast during this portion. If you allow the text to fully scroll, it will proceed and the game will work as normal.

This appears to be an issue with the text box behavior itself, which is why you may see repeating text here and during that Sage dialogue. At the moment there's no immediate fix for this until the engine is updated, but not skipping the game too fast should prevent most issues from cropping up.

Steam actually lets you manually set a game in your library to private now actually, some time back. So should be no problem there! If you're using Discord though, make sure to turn off game activity when playing!

Hmm, that might be a problem with the skill variable then. We'll look into it!

ok so to address one by one:

One Line

The line seems to only appear in fullscreen mode, currently there's no known solution until we figure out what's causing

Config Text

The text at the bottom of the Config screen is actually example text to check your scroll and auto speed, it was packaged into the engine by default lol.

Music Cutting Out/Language

The music not looping and the language change is another known thing we're looking into!

Narration Attributed to Character

So far I've only found one instance of this (Clary) and it's been corrected.

Character Blacked Out

This is part of the engine - each character has an official name in the code so if they're not directly referred to as their official name in the code, they won't be directly highlighted.

Game Soft Locking

This is also a prominent known issue and the solution is given on the main page FAQ!

Keyboard Support

Still currently looking into rebinding keys for this engine so we'll put a tab on this one as it's not a super high priority at the moment.

Tutorial Icons

We'll experiment with the buttons more for sure. This engine is geared solely for visual novels so certain features may be abit harder to implement.

The music not looping is a known issue highlighted in the main page, so we are still figuring that out! As for the BGs, many of them were acquired from a royalty-free site anyone can upload to, so some AI images might have slipped through the cracks. Custom BG art is something we really want more of for maximum immersion but that will have to be a significant investment.

As for abilities, if you mean that the dialogue choices for other abilities still appear, that's intended! You can click on them but if you don't have the required ability it won't trigger the next dialogue. We might have to find a way down the line that's less confusing but we're still learning the ins and outs of this engine.

Shin will find her way into the story, trust :pray: We want to have Savaasa too but we didn't want to go the original Project WAND route and introduce everyone harem style this time, we want to try and introduce them abit more naturally so every new character can be properly fleshed out!

Lol, that's been a thing since early Project WAND too. I think a lot of it is due to me being quite new to dickgirls so it took time to get used to drawing them and what fans expectations would be. Will try to take into account for when we introduce the canon ones like Shin and Savaasa down the line.

Yes, this is an issue that we've consistently encountered during testing and it's always at this specific part. Right now we're looking into fixing it permanently but as of now, there's nothing in the code that we can detect would cause it so we're still finding the root cause of the bug!

Yes this one's in Russian cause of the game engine lol, we're in contact with the creator to help resolve it!
