That's the right scene, it should unlock once you've played through it. If you've played through it and it didn't unlock, something went wrong. Maybe try loading up a save from before the scenes and play through them again and see if it was a one-off or if it's repeatable.

Hmm. There was another person on the Discord who asked how to unlock those (assuming that wasn't you). I haven't run into any issues with either, and no problems were reported during testing or early access, so I'll fall back to my usual first question for cases like this: are you playing with any mods/tools installed? Even if not, it might be worthwhile to download a fresh copy and try again there. If you keep having trouble and have a Discord account, you could upload the affected save file and the save you loaded up to play into the new content (if you still have it) there and I can take a look later and see where things might be failing for you.
That's odd. I haven't had any other reports about errors on launch, and I just downloaded and checked the Itch and Mediafire links, which both ran without issue. Googling those errors points to a few results about corrupted files. If it was something corrupted going into the build, I'd expect to have run into this myself during testing, or have had a report from a tester or backer during the early access period. I'd recommend trying a new download and not installing any mods/tools (if you have). If that doesn't help, I primarily use Discord for bug/issue reporting, so if you have an account you're more than welcome to join the server and post the issue there for follow-up.
I didn't make any changes to the build process between versions and I didn't update Ren'Py, so I'm unsure as to what might be causing that. I'll do a little research, but iOS is not a supported environment.
I'm looking at the Spark page on the App Store and it looks like there's a way to select a Ren'Py version to improve stability. TNoM is built on 8.3.4, so perhaps selecting that will help.
Out of curiosity, which version do you use with it: Android, Win/Linux, or Mac?
Thanks!
Orlaith does have an entry in the Memory menu, but a couple other players have reported her icon disappearing. I have not been able to replicate the issue, but one player uploaded an affected save and I verified that her entry in the display list was missing. The fix will be included in the next version.
The spell proficiency system will start becoming a larger part of the game with the next release. It'll have the first instances (outside of Encounters) of choosing which spell to use in a given situation, which will increase proficiency with that spell. It'll still be a couple releases before those proficiency levels start to impact those situations, though, but it is planned.
Thanks! And don't worry, I have no intention of changing the "idiosyncrasy" of the game, so to speak. I'm essentially looking for ways to liven up what's already there.
As far as player agency goes, there's a limited amount I'm willing to give during the early stages of development, as you noted. The MC has his own development arc and allowing the player to make decisions that run contrary to that would result in a significant shift to the story being told. I'm hesitant to implement shorter, "bad end" options because A: I personally don't care for them, and B: I feel if there are choices that change the story, it's worth exploring them to the fullest. Agency is certainly one of the things I would explore more if I had the time/resources.
That's a good observation on the "shrug" option for responding to Áine; it does feel out of character. I've made a note to look at that.
