The spell proficiency system will start becoming a larger part of the game with the next release.  It'll have the first instances (outside of Encounters) of choosing which spell to use in a given situation, which will increase proficiency with that spell.  It'll still be a couple releases before those proficiency levels start to impact those situations, though, but it is planned.

Thanks!  And don't worry, I have no intention of changing the "idiosyncrasy" of the game, so to speak.  I'm essentially looking for ways to liven up what's already there.

As far as player agency goes, there's a limited amount I'm willing to give during the early stages of development, as you noted.  The MC has his own development arc and allowing the player to make decisions that run contrary to that would result in a significant shift to the story being told.  I'm hesitant to implement shorter, "bad end" options because A: I personally don't care for them, and B: I feel if there are choices that change the story, it's worth exploring them to the fullest.  Agency is certainly one of the things I would explore more if I had the time/resources.

That's a good observation on the "shrug" option for responding to Áine; it does feel out of character.  I've made a note to look at that.

I'll look into it, but the earliest it would be ready is the next release.  In the meantime, there's also a walkthrough document available on the Discord.

I don't speak Russian, but from what Google Translate is telling me, your first post has some very kind words about the game and the second is asking about creating a mod for the game.  Thank you for the compliments, and as far as the mod goes, there's a walkthrough mod posted on the Discord.  If Discord is an issue, I can check with the mod creator to see if they'd be willing to put it on Itch if they haven't already.

That would actually be very simple to implement, since those names come from variables that are read on display of the dialogue box 'screen'.  I could add that in with a toggle to show/hide the last names so folks could have it either way.

Yeah,I suppose the names could be tough to keep straight on a first read.  Made a note to work on that a bit as part of the next release.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Not officially, but there is a fan translation.  I don't believe it's been updated for the latest release, though.

Appreciate it!

Thanks!

Thanks Caff!

Thanks!

The images for the Android version are a bit lower quality since they're compressed more than the ones for PC.  Shouldn't really be noticeable on the smaller screens, though.

Thanks!

Thanks!  Barring any major interruptions, I expect the next update will be ready for backers in the next week or two, so public release should be in the first half of November.

Added the code for that just last week, along with some other improvements for mobile.  It'll be in the upcoming release and can be set to either side of the screen.

Thanks!  And the fix for the dialogue box disappearing on scrying view change will be in the next update.  I've never been able to replicate it on my end and had only one other person report it, but thankfully they were able to test while I worked out that fix.

Great!

Hmm, that's odd.  There've been some folks who had trouble seeing a couple channels, but not everything other than announcements.  There should be a dozen or so channels visible.  I think the people who were having trouble were able to see the channels they were missing by toggling on 'Show All Channels' from the server dropdown at the top of the channel list.

It's public.  A couple folks have joined today and clicking the link brings up the invite screen for me.

It's included in the current version available for download (Chapter Two, Part One).

Thanks!  And probably late October or early November.  I'll post dates once I'm confident on the specific timeframe.

Just English in the official release.  There's a fan translation for Chinese and I believe there's another for Russian.

Thanks!  And yes, that will be one of the routes available.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Just tested both and they appear to be working fine.  There is no expiration on the invite and someone joined via it ~2 hours ago, so as far as I can tell there are no issues with the links.

Potentially, that might wind up being what they average out to.   I expect most will take between four and six months.

Thanks!  I'm aiming to have the second part of chapter two done around November.

Nope, no prologue.  If you're referring to the main menu in-game, those renders are unique to the menu.

Thanks!  Appreciate the kind words.

Yes.   Platonic will be the default, but romantic relationships between certain LIs can be encouraged if desired.  If not encouraged, they stay platonic.

Good eye.  That, and a few other Chapter One typos, have been fixed as part of the Chapter Two, Part One release, which will find its way here on the 27th.

Correct.  Starting the romantic route of a love interest, like Cerys, is dependent on player action/choice.

(1 edit)

Feel like I should clarify here: girl-on-girl content (and most other kinks/fetishes) will be avoidable.  "Relationships" can be either platonic or romantic, so while there is potential for MFF situations, they won't be forced on the player.

Thanks!

Thanks!
