Beat120x is my Discord name. I sent you a message and a friend request. Also, you need to make sure the server invite lasts permanently. By default it's two weeks I think.

If you don't have any controllers plugged in, make sure the controller option is disabled in the options. If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure what's wrong.
I don't know what we could have done to make the game slow down. 2DFM generally isn't that performance-intensive, nor do we really have much control over how to present the game. A lot of that stuff is hard-coded.
Co-dev here. My role is quite simple: I do my best to polish and refine what Shredditz has worked on so he can stay focused on making new content I don't remember who, but someone asked me to try the game on launch after noting I was a huge fan of the GG games. I've taken plenty of notes on the games years ago, so I have much to offer through insight alone
Though honestly, I'm not 100% certain what I'm doing as far as balance. I'll admit I am a recursive type so I'm always keeping an eye out for tweaks. Whether for better or for worse, I try to aim for everyone feeling good. It's probably not the best idea, but we don't have a community like PKMN CC to test for feedback.😂
That said, I hope it's been fun. Even I have to wait for the public announcement to see what Shredditz has in store for us.
I suppose I can say I'm a co-dev. But yes, I'm handling a lot of the polish once out of the oven so Shredditz can stay focused on making new content. Otherwise I'd be bombarding with feedback on the near-daily.
Some may have noticed that the whole accurate to the original games bit is no longer present on the front page. I could have helped achieve that with all the notes I've taken years ago, but with the addition of the Genesis roster underway I decided that we should give the existing characters some new tools to keep them as interesting. Rest assured we both seek to keep following the GG games in spirit. We did our best to emulate the characters up to a certain extent for our baseline and worked from there. Combos will be remain short and simple, but more open than in the originals.
I'm not too worried about balance as much as I'm trying to make sure everyone feels good (without being broken of course). Surely something we didn't take into account will come up if there are people who try to take this seriously, but all in all, fun is the goal here and I hope it stays that way even after players start breaking it down.
