I love this game! There are plenty of games on itch that have modern horror gameplay with an N64/PSX aesthetic on top, but this one genuinely feels like playing an N64 game, and I was immediately addicted. Currently working on beating the secret boss, I’m gonna go until I get all 27 spirits. I’d love to see more in this style!

Very fun game, I really like the concept! I love the idea of implementing real-world spider behavior in the game’s AI, so you can theoretically use irl biology knowledge to outsmart it, it’s very cool.
I don’t know if this is just a problem on my end somehow, but I feel like the spider’s footstep noises were directionally reversed in my headset. I would consistently hear footsteps to my right when the spider was to my left, hear it coming from in front of me when it was behind me, etc.
Also, I think the ending triggers if you’re near the spider in 3D space but on a different floor from it, as I got the “spider eliminated” text while I was on the second floor and couldn’t see the spider.
Idk if you’re still fixing these small bugs since the full game’s begun production but I figured I’d mention it. Looking forward to playing more Hunstman!
Thanks, we’re glad you enjoyed it! Fellow Macleod enjoyer :)
The pizza was mostly intended to give you something to do other than the usual button clicking in idle games so I’m happy it worked :P (It’s actually badly balanced and overpowered, despite appearing slow if you put all your goons into pizza it grows infinitely lol)
Almost everything about this is great, but the controls make it impossible to intentionally avoid anything, I ended up just destroying everything in my path no matter what. This is very close to being a great lame game, it just needs better controls. Keep it up, I'm sure your next jam submission will be even better!
It should work with just the exe file. It only works on Windows, so if you're on Windows make sure you have an internet connection when running it, and try the soundless version if the full version doesn't work. If that doesn't work then I'm not sure, unfortunately I made this with very janky tools that don't always work properly :/
