Good game. A bit on the simpler side but it got all the elements of the theme portrayed. Made me double check the room for my own safety after every task which I'd attribute this game's ability to really emulate the fear and concern regarding the situation.

7/10 nice game.

I actually really like the story in this. Everything is delivered by subtext and environmental storytelling, alcohol everywhere, the syringe just lying out in the open, mom and dad sleeping separately, be it intentional or unintentional, it made a good narrative. My take on this is that it's about neglectful parents leaving their kid unsupervised on the internet which leads to their consequences.

7/10 good game with good story.

Good demo. Even though it's formulaic it's executed very well. sorting out the deliveries and turning off everything before leaving to set the players into a comfort of habit, only for something to happen and break that status quo really works well. a lot of devs get lost by focusing too much on jumpscares but this demo shows the understanding that the build up is what's important. The silence when the power goes out, when you have to go to the storage for the first time, and even finding out the second doll, I found those moments to be a lot scarier than the jumpscare itself. Love how this game utilizes music and silence because of it.

8/10 looking forward to the full game!

I really enjoy this a lot. Love how the gameplay is literally piecing together a story by gathering clues. Makes you feel like doing some real detective work without getting overly complicated. The difficulty increase feels very organic. Having to also piece together who each person is on your own on a separate note actually is very helpful to piece the main puzzle. I'd be very interested if not only you have to do it for names of people, but maybe in some cases (no pun intended) you also have items that you have to figure out what they are. As a quick example, because there's a lot of substances in this game perhaps you'd have to piece up which one is a normal medicine, which one is a drug, etc.

Other than that, style is very reminisce of old newgrounds which is very nostalgic and welcomed!

9/10 detective game. Looking forward to the full release!

I enjoyed it. I like how the fact that you don't know anything about the missing person is actually foreshadowing to the twist. The second day is the scariest imo, even though there's nothing much, but it is exactly because there's nothing you become on guard. The twist is good, and I'd even say that because the game made you very familiar with the library throughout the playthrough, it made the finale actually less stressful.

8/10 very well executed. Looking forward to more games!

Good game. I was so immersed in it that I forgot it's supposed to be a very short experience. For being made in 2 days this is really good, I like it!

7/10 it sure did got me in the end.

Okay, I LOVE this! Probably one of my favorite if not my favorite puzzle horror game so far. This type of aesthetic is just right up my alley, cassettepunk, weirdcore vibes, and pixel art, so from that perspective alone I know I'd like this game from the get go. I really like how the story is told by diary entries, emails, photos, and even the wallpaper itself to an extent. Even though I kinda guessed the direction of the story at the first hint given, I still didn't expect the way the twist was handled and I love it.

9/10 game. Love everything about it. Makes me wish that it had been longer.

"my experience so far"

My opinion is subject to change the more I play.

UwU

Ok, this is so cool and very nostalgic too. Love the sounds and the visuals. Haven't played through all the stories yet, only played the first 2, but I'm really liking the game so far. Music is my favorite part of this game, other than the overall aesthetics it has.also, always a fan of frame narrative, so this is a plus for me!

My experience so far I'll give it 8/10 very good game. I'm definitely looking forward to finishing it!

I'm really into the idea. As someone who grew up playing point-and-click object finding games, this very much feels like a step up to it. Also, very interesting way to get you thinking like a detective because you have to look around the scene and then quite literally draw a conclusion. Currently the gameplay is very simple but it is just a demo after all hoping. To see more in the future when it fully released!

as it is, I'll give it a 7/10. Looking forward to the full release!

I like this a lot. Cozy and slow, but there's a lot to pay attention to. The style, vibes, and the art are all very pleasant! Love how you can always hear the ocean for ambience. I would love for the story to be more expanded by inclusion of "mini side stories" via maybe the NPCs would say a few bits of dialogue as they hand you their package, would give more life to the game too IMO. Also what that can do is maybe every now and then an NPC would claim that a package is important so you might wanna consider to deliver that particular package ASAP.

In it's current state, I'm already confident to give it a solid 7.5/10

I'm looking forward to potential future updates! (^_^)

Good game. Short, direct, to the point, got a few scares, I got confused on what to do for a bit but that''s on me for not paying attention. I like the twist in the end, it's fun!

Good game. Honestly dig the mechanic of having to listen and pay attention to the Latin words being said. Very short experience and for what it is there's not much to complain. Keeps me on edge, even scared me a few times.

7/10 I like it.

Good game, very creepy, got me looking over my shoulder multiple times. It managed to achieve so much at a short time. I'm a big fan of religious horror, so just by that fact alone I already like this. Perhaps there's a lot more to the game than just what's playable, but even from what I experienced it's already very solid. In a good way it makes me wish that there's a longer  version of this.

8/10 cool and creepy.

OK 20/10!!!

This is just perfect and more. The foreshadowing? The metaphors? The symbolism? The Plot? and don't get me started on how well the game puts you into the shoes of the main character. Scary, disturbing, dreadful, and some well placed jumpscares that do not feel cheap at all!

I love the subtle fact that you never actually ever see the outside from inside the house, or ever see the wife and kid ever do anything other than exist and speak. The length of the game is just right. I did stumble around for a while not sure what to do, but honestly, that really pushes the narrative even more because you're playing as someone who is also just as unsure what to do with himself. Also love how you play as the ghost that jumpscares you in the beginning because, well, because of the twist reveal!

I so, so, so love this. Since the title is "Dead Tapes: Fading Father" I hope that Dead Tapes will be a series and we'll get to play more stories. If this is the kind of thing and the level of quality that can be expected, then this will be an absolutely incredible horror series.

Incredible game, love it.

Good game! Short and simple, but gave some good scares. Gives me back the feeling you'd get as a kid turning off the lights at night and running up the stairs. The game implies that more stuff might get added, so I'd also share some thoughts. I want to know more about the entity, what's up with the package and the music and why it keeps being sent to the station and who even send them.

I like it for what it is. 8/10

I really like this. Short and to the point. Music is great. The build up to the climax and the twist at the end is everything in this, especially the giant "demonic circle" just before the church. I wish the game is longer. solid 9/10 IMO

SPOILERS

I wish the game is longer so there's more build up. Perhaps more notes and records of people describing the events and happening regarding the "witch", but of course the events being described will be stuff about UFO's, so when the twist in the end happens it will be even more mindblowing. Like perhaps people talking about loud noises, blinding "magic light", the witch flying with a disk and pulling things into the air, etc. With the game being longer there will also be time to really make players think the antagonist is a witch by adding even more mystery and horror elements.

But hey, maybe this game is just perfect the way that it is and me wanting more is merely a sign of that. Either way, I really like the game!

I love, love, LOVE this game! It's very short and simple, but the atmosphere and the build up are amazing. The air gets more red when the dinosaur comes is so good. The music is just *chef's kiss*. I really like how the break action single shotgun is an organic way to make a long delay for such a powerful tool.

I would love for this game to become a series or even a fully fledged survival horror where you hunt down these "dinosaurs" complete with resource management, safe zones, more lore, and different items that can help in different ways.

10/10 please make more, this has sooo much potential!

I really love the storytelling of this game and how you use the different houses going further down the road as metaphors. One tablespoon of unsettling, a pinch of dread, a touch of jumpscare, and even a whole cup of emotional! I feel like playing the early game of a future big name in indie horror in the making.

Love the game, looking forward to your future games too!

Very nice.

Look at that subtle foreshadowing.

The tasteful slow burn of it.

Oh my god, it even has metaphors.
