Couldn't figure out how to play, but it seemed cool! I just kept getting bumped and moved around but couldn't figure out how to do anything.

Well done :) I love the charm this game had and the simplicity of it. Took me a minute to figure out WASD was the move, but then it was off to the races. Great twist on the theme!

Absolutely loved this gem of a game. It proves that leveraging Unreal Engine for it's supreme graphics and shaders shouldn't be the focus of what the engine can do. The mechanics were straightforward, the game did not stutter at all, and the theme/vibe of the game went well together. While I can see the argument that this would have been good as a browser game (and that UE games can't be build/packaged for the browser,) I think leveraging UE for this was a good move, since the engine's tools for the user interface and controller made it so you could focus more on the theme, the vibe, and the world design. That's a perfect use case scenario for the engine.

The game itself, bravo. I was admiring the Half-Life feeling era of graphics, and then I laughed my ass off at the socialization avoidance mechanic. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

It doesn't feel like a demo/jam game, it feels like a complete game you'd pick up on Steam for a couple bucks. If there was a way you could turn this into friendslop, you'd have a banger.

OMG. You’re right. I was setting the parent to visible when displaying the menu. I’ll fix that, as well as test your game, when I get home 😁

Thank you for the well thought out review! The controls and about buttons were supposed to be hidden but kept showing up in the shipping build. Couldn’t figure it out

Completely agree with the character. I was running out of time and still having to work my day job, so I let the character model go in order to make the main features feel finished. Completely dropped the ball on that one!

I’m definitely considering expanding this idea, once I recover from the grind lol.

Very well done. Attack animations, pacing... The core concept caught on quickly and you made the theme the centerpiece of the game. Not my type of game, but this was amazing!
