I guess toby fox wanted us to learn about the Nagasaki bombing huh

very nice

Sounds like I should add a way to preview your rotation without committing to it.

A good chunk of people asked for it, and I really see no reason not to add it. After all, the whole 2D projection thing is a bit abstract.

BTW, as per the rules of the Jam, I'll not add the new Blocks yet, I'll wait until the rating time is over, then add the new block types.

Well, with Jams you kind of have to freestyle a lot of things,

At least now I know it's worth it to further expand on the concept.

patch 2 out,

tbh, kinda hard to imagine how I should handle it, a Discord server seems like a lot of work tbh.

The bug is fixed in patch 2, which will come out soon.

Input rebinding will come with patch 3, which will also add Controller support.

"being stuck in a block with no way out", that's a bug actually, you are supposed to be able to just turn back from the stuck state even if you are technically mid air.

That and various other miscellaneous issues are fixed in the current patch I'm working on.

And just to be sure, I also added various "tutorial" type levels, many people got stuck at the level where you had to position yourself beneath a platform, spin, then climb a ladder to get higher, then spin back.

Also made a proper level editor lolImage

100% agree,

ATM, I'm working on a patch 2 for the game.

It'S obvious that the levels were made in a rush, for the patch, I fixed various bugs and misc annoyances, like reset being bound to esc, and I'm adding various "tutorial" type levels that help the player understand each mechanic before mixing them all.

Always the devs being the ones underestimating difficulty :^)

It's just quicker to use Minecraft and write a little Python script that converts everything correctly.

than to make a fully functional level editor lol

Anyway, I'll make all play tests public for now, so I'll add new levels every day/2nd day.

FEZ IMO is more of a platformer with ARG-type puzzles and less of a traditional puzzle game.

Yk what they say, you won't forget your first love, nor will you forget the first players.

Yk, with the new levels ive added, I've been asking myself, are you guys interested in having access to a level editor for the game?

Good news, I made a tool that lets me make maps in Minecraft and export them to my game's data format.

Still, I'll add a couple of levels each day, if I add too many at once, I can't really make sure if they are fun or just frustrating.

I'll add more levels over the next week.

Right now, I added a couple, tomorrow comes the 2nd update pack with more levels and some bug fixes.

I'll 100% change the reset input with tomorrow's 2nd Level Update pack.

I think I should say this here too,

I'll add more Puzzles after sleep

Man the web build is working much worse than the desktop build

The Fascist state of new Deutschland banned your game here, thankfully I can bypass steams anti-porno filter through itchio. 👍
