This is very cute. It's a great idea. Very satisfying to slowly start causing chaos.
The jump sound effects seem to be routed weirdly as they were not affected but the SFX volume slider.
Cute little game <3 I love the visuals, simple and clean. The border for the UI is really nice. It was a little confusing at first when I was being teleported to the next level, I thought I was dying each time somehow. The music also does not loop so once it's over, you just have no music. Could probably benefit from some more indication when you hit rocks that there is a penalty for that. It's kind of hard to tell unless you are watching the timer.
This is a great idea! I struggled with controlling the ship as you can't see what direction you are facing while spinning, but you can still turn. I think it would be great if the ship sprite had an additional section that didn't spin so you could keep track of your rotation. That way you can see where you are going but also get the feedback from spinning.
This was super tough I'm not surprised one of the devs hasn't beaten it! Great stuff for a first game, keep up the good work <3
Easy 5/5 across the board for me! This was incredible. I love how simple the idea is and how well executed it is. The visuals are top notch, everything is super crisp and looks great with the perspective. It's so cool how you managed to keep everything readable and intuitive with such a wild mechanic.
Amazing work! The fact that the squid is called Spin brings me great joy <3
This is one of the more unique ones I've played in the jam! Super cohesive experience, the visuals and sounds work great together and it's silly and scary in equal parts. I think some music could have helped more with the atmosphere though.
It seems as though the spinning didn't really affect anything in the game. If the wheel wasn't there, the rest of the game would be the same mechanically. I played through a couple times, changing my answers each time, but didn't really see that much difference other than some minor dialogue changes. There didn't seem to be any noticeable issues with the translations, so all good there.
The sprites for the host are fantastic. I feel like I'm going to have nightmares about this guy tonight... Creepy!
This is great example of something simple being really addictive. I managed to get to 3109 before having to tap out as the shop target ended up spawning inside a row of X targets! I think it would be good to make the exploding targets destroy nearby X targets. I was a little confused to see that they don't and they actually make the game harder, so I ended up just not buying any.
I loved this one! I've not played anything like this before. It was a nice mix of chill and chaotic gameplay. The mirrored part was evil lmao
I love how cohesive this game felt, really well done on the visuals. Not sure the spinning really counts as spinning here because if the button had any other icon, the game would still be the same, but with no spinning. Regardless, I had fun and it's a great game <3
YIPPEEEE! Amazing checkpoint sound <3
It's also nice that the different characters had different text sounds, although the text in general is very slow. It would have been great if the skip text button showed the whole textbox before skipping to the next one.
This was cute and the mechanic was pretty fun to use.
This is wild, I've never played a game with this kind of mechanic before. The control feels very unusual but not bad, which is cool. I think it could do with some quality of live improvements like being able to skip the lost ball cutscene or just being able to restart when you know it's a lost ball. I really enjoyed batting the other players out of the way, that was quite funny.
Wowwww, this is SO addictive! I've spent more time on this game that any of the others. It's super satisfying. I love the art style, it's very unique. There are a few issues with the UI and buggy behaviour with some of the upgrades, but honestly this is so well done! It does seem to have performance issues though. The stomp drops the framerate every time and I only stopped playing because it crashed during a run lol
Wow, this has great game feel! Super satisfying to play. I was stoked when they mentioned you could go through all the waves again with the upgrades but unfortunately the lag build up was too strong :(
The juice in this game is delicious though. Everything felt/looked really good. The sausage death animation is peak.
This is fantastic! I love everything about this idea. This is great for your first game! I'm a big pixel art fan and this game has a lovely cohesive art style. The music kicking in after the start section is great and the idle animation is so adorable, it makes waiting for platforms to return less frustrating. The jump sound is also amazing, very serious indeed.
There were a few awkward things like the platforms having collision on the side of them. I'm not sure if it was deliberate because I know this is an issue with the Godot default "one-way" setting.
Wonderful debut! I love Gink <3
Incredible game!! I really really like this one. The mechanic is really funny and the upgrades all feel really cool. The juice is nice, feels so good to mow down some nasties once you get a few upgrades. The art is super nice too. The palette ties everything together very well.
The HUD disappears on death and doesn't seem to come back so I just refreshed each time.
The death screen is amazing. Very funny serious stuff. Had a great time with this one <3
Maybe the most serious game yet. I hope I will one day be serious enough to access the fabled options menu...
The game over screen is so good <3 Although it would have been cool to add your score to it because you can't currently tell what your score was when you inevitably perish!
It seems that the player velocity isn't set to 0 at the screen edges so it can just stack up and you get stuck for a bit while you wait for the value to drop lol
Big fan of the visuals, very charming. Great stuff for your first jam :D
Doo-do-doooo~
Loved that win sound! This is a nice simple game that is pretty satisfying to play. The spin mechanic can kind of be abused to correct mistakes that you make. It might be a good idea to introduce some kind of restriction or something to it as you can beat the game without moving/jumping! I found myself wanting to play more levels too. Good stuff :D
Oh my, what a great concept! I though of "spinning someone's words" during brainstorming for this jam and figured it would be pretty difficult thing to make a game around. This achieves that really well! The game is well executed too. Lovely visuals and sound. Making all the variants make sense must have been tricky. Very cool idea <3
Ohh this is so cosy! The art and colour choices in this are very nice. The music and sounds fit very well and are super wholesome. The gameplay itself is simple but fun as a mini game. I'm not too sure I understand the link between the cards and going up. I spent a while trying to match the suit to the one on the table, but then realised you just spam them lol
Very enjoyable little game. Thanks for making this! <3
This is incredible! Definitely one of my favourites <3
The concept is fantastic and is taught very well, with the complexity gradually increasing as you progress. I played through a decent chunk before I got stuck, but had a whale of a time.
This game is wonderfully cohesive, the art is gorgeous and the music/sfx fits super nicely and is very charming.
