Good to hear from you; I didn't see a post from you last week, so I was a little concerned for you. It may have been just me not looking hard enough, though. No biggie.

The problem's not with you, mate. Ultimately, it's that git who got you in trouble to start with, and since then, it's been The System. Because of all that, everything has been fragmented and has played hob with scheduling. If it had all gone as planned, you'd probably have been well into the original plot for MNM, and all of us would be happy. As it is, we have had to be satisfied with stopgap measures of one sort or another.
Is it frustrating? Of course it is.
Is it your fault? Of course it isn't.
Ultimately, you are doing this for free, unless people decide to give you some money. You could have set it so that everyone had to pay, but you didn't (and I'm thankful for that, believe me). Anyone that has issues with you is being both unfair and insensitive toward you. You are doing what you feel is the best you can under circumstances which are a) beyond your control and b) largely unknown. You're playing poker where the dealer is handing you blank cards, and you're still managing to think of us before yourself. I know you like to keep busy and productive, but please be a little easier on yourself.
Peace.
I'm probably late or wrong with this, but I was thinking about MNF recently - specifically when Maddie had that competition. For some reason, the organisers decided to change the format, and the other night I suddenly thought, "duh - they recognised Maddie's ability and changed it. Not to stop her winning, but so that she didn't accidentally cause serious harm."
Kinda makes me wonder if there are non-family people that know or suspect something of the family secret...
I've said it before, and I'll say it as many times as is needed: you are dealing with a shitty situation, and doing a bloody good job of it, all things considered. You have identified an issue (task burnout), and you deal with it correctly, by leaving that suddenly unpleasant task and working on something else, so you remain as fresh as possible.
That said, I have to admit that hearing of a release for MNF2 in the next few months (December counts, right?) has me stoked. MNF1 was our first introduction to this little world, and quite apart from the next generation, I'm really really keen to discover more about how and why the family seem to have unusual qualities.
You were ill.
That is not failing, in any way, shape, or form.
Shit has been hard for you for quite some time now, and that's something we all understand. These weekly updates are already above and beyond what a lot of content creators do, so to achieve this whilst being ill is a genuine feat. You are amazing.
Congrats on the anniversary!
I joined the journey partway through MNF, and I've enjoyed every line since then. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: in the AVN field, there are two or three writers setting the gold standard for world building and character development - Killer 7, Talothrel, and Victor Seven. Replayability is one thing; and you can tell that damn officer this, but the mark of a great writer is when you find yourself skipping the adults scenes just to enjoy the story. I know, I know. What's the bloody point of the sex if I'm just gonna ignore it? Well, if others like it, fine, but I'll enjoy the story my way, TVM.
Here's to plenty more years, and to calmer seas.
Oh. My. F***ing. Gods.
I've just started a playthrough of what there is so far of My New Memories.
He's just gone into the library to look up some details about his life, and the computer screen has the front page of a newspaper showing.
I've just seen the name of the newspaper.
You sneaky, sneaky bastard.

Quick thought - I'm playing through again, and just reached the part where MC accompanies Druthari to the dorms for the first time. In that scene, she is introduced to the concept of martial arts, forms, and sparring.
Are you planning on following on that idea? If so, would there possibly be some interaction with Jade? I mean, since Jade is female, Druthari might be able to concentrate more...
Vic, don't worry about it; your health and survival are far more important than a little game. As long as we get some kind of progress report or update, all is good. Even if you have to full stop for a short period, just let us know. Most of us will understand, even if it may not be what we want to hear. And anyone who starts getting all Karen about it can go fuck themselves with a scaffold pole.
Thanks for all your hard work on your games, and congratulations on completing what is one of my favourite VNs. In fact, I rate you (along with Talothrel of Terminus fame) as one of the two best relationship writers out there.
Here's to the future - may it be so bright that dark glasses are required.
Thank you for all your hard work on this project - and to everyone who helped you. This has been a wonderful story with great characters, and the teasing for MNF2 is perfect.
What gets me is how you have managed to keep going through all the problems/crises, even to the point of "well, I can't do any of A, so I'll use what I can and work on B or even C.
Kudos to you.
For my part - and I'm aware this is just my own preference - I do prefer when visual novels adhere more to the 'novel' side of things ie: I'm more or less a passive witness to what you provide. That said, I do like it when options are presented to us that result in good/bad/alternative endings. IMHO, Talothral's 'Terminus Reach: Sentinel' (parts 1 and 2) are the gold standard for this style.
I actually find myself going back to certain titles, just to read the plot - and skip through the sex scenes... lol. Talothral, along with Killer7 and yourself have the best writing - especially for interpersonal exchanges and character development.
So, yeah. Change things up as and when you feel it necessary, and learn as you go. That said, while changing the writing is all fine and dandy, I'm not too sure whether switching up the game style is as justifiable. You began World's Crossing as one thing, and perhaps it's better to keep it as that, and change for the next actual game. Of course, that's just my own preference, and an argument can be made that each arc IS a separate game. Whatever happens, I'm here to see what goes on, because I'm loving the writing.
Sorry it's all gone to crap for you at the moment. Even Mary and Becca look concerned for you!
Take your time, and we'll wait. For us, it's a minor inconvenience, but it's a serious issue for you, so please focus on yourself. I know it's trite (and often unhelpful), but please be kind to yourself, even if it means taking a step back from all this - and us.
