Hi all. I've just released Chapter 1 of Vanjeev and would really value some honest feedback.
It's a story-driven creature adventure set in Marudesh, a desert land inspired by Rajasthan. Your grandmother falls into a strange sleep the night the threads between people and creatures start to snap, and you set out with a young jeev to find out why.
What's in Chapter 1:
- 18 creatures based on real Indian animals (Bengal fox, peacock, chinkara, star tortoise, Ganges river dolphin, monitor lizard and more)
- Turn-based battles with a timing press for stronger hits
- You don't capture creatures: you calm them, then tie a thread to bond
- A village, a small town, an old stepwell and a wrestling akhada
It runs in the browser (desktop Chrome or Edge works best) and takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
I built it with an AI coding assistant (Claude), directing the design, story and look, and it's disclosed on the page.
What I'd love to know:
1. Where did you get stuck or confused?
2. Did the battles feel good or repetitive?
3. Would you play Chapter 2?

Thanks for playing. I'll read and reply to every comment.
