My biggest issue is that you often literally encounter a pokemon in the grass or caves every 2 or 3 steps AT BEST. I have gotten encounters for every step in some grass

I think the managers walking around would be a good change. In Version 1 especially with how once you had one character, the challenge of that character catching you would be removed, the game felt way too easy especially by the time of trying to get the third and fourth character.

This was quite good. I'll be keeping an eye  on your account. I was impressed how all of the choices actually mattered. Whenever she did that weird thing with the red and all the eyes it really reminded me of Mogeko Castle. Very good VN considering it's size. I didn't see any "service" scenes but I did get every ending so I assume I saw everything. That scientist lady is bad as hell too.
